Nothing to see hear....
Just the corrupt, sloppy, incompetent, lying, traitorous Clinton Administration flunkies trying to erase "history" and clean up Clinton's "legacy"......

If Berger escapes jail time ---- Washington becomes a joke...

Never mind....Washington IS a joke..

So .. is this saying that the millennium report is so damning to Clinton .. Berger is attempting to replace it with another document ..??

In other words - Berger stole the first document; then tried to return it; but pretended to steal it .. so it would be the document returned to the archive; because it's the one with the better information on it ..??

Did I get that right ..??

We heard testimony (Condi?) that the Millenial Plot was foiled by an alert border guard, not by anything Clinton did.

I can't imagine Berger stole documents concerning something we already know about. Maybe the guy they caught, shot off his mouth about future, 9-11 plans, and they buried it? (Just trying to think of something awful enough to steal)

I am so sick of people saying the same thing. Bush won't prosecute.

Look .. when GW got elected, the country had heard nothing but x42 24/7 and we were all sick of it. The only way to stop it was to not talk about x42. And .. dragging x42 into court before all the judges he had appointed would have made us look like idiots.

The district courts of DC are filled with Clinton appointees .. why else do you think the dem senators don't want to approve any of Bush's appointees .. it would mean there would be conservatives on the bench in DC and other federal appeals courts, and Clinton would not be able to control them.

Secondly .. why should Bush parade Clinton around all the time while the press is salivating all over the place. Bush had HIS AGENDA he wanted to promote .. not talk endlessly about x42.

Please stop with this stupid statement that Bush won't prosecute Clinton. I think the MOMENT Bush's appointees sit down in their courtrooms, Ashcroft's people will be there to set the record straight!!!!

"doctoring the report and swapping out copies"

That's what I think! The Millennium report is not favorable to x42 at all. And .. it shows that Albright took credit for catching the guy at the Canadian border .. when the x42 admin HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT - IT WAS JUST A GOOD OFFICER DOING HER JOB.

But during Albright's testimony before the 9-11 commission, she said that it was the admin who foisted the terror plot not the border guard.

Maybe Berger was trying to make the paperwork fit Albright's statements.

From the Washington Times article:

The officials said the missing documents were highly classified and included critical assessments about the Clinton administration's handling of the millennium terror threats as well as identification of America's terror vulnerabilities at airports and seaports.

identification of America's terror vulnerabilities at airports and seaports.

I can't believe this is just about wanting to take credit for something they didn't do. This is a huge step for something that never did, and couldn't have been expected to be a huge deal (knowing the press).

It has to be about airport stuff. That's the only thing that would be worth such a risk.

But honestly, these people are so blatant, corrupt, delusional, there just may be no predicting what they will do.

Berger was trying to cover up documents that were embarrassing to him and to Clinton.

They suspect that he will commit a crime (so they mark the document), but the first person they call is no FBI but Clinton's attorney. This stinks higher than the NY Slimes fishwrap.

This is interesting... Why call Bruce Lindsey? Who made that decision and why? What does Lindsey have to do with the archives and the people who work there?

New Halloween Costume Comes To Mind:

Sandy Berger with papers hanging out of his pockets and falling out of his pant legs....Big bulges under the clothes. In his hands is a copy of "My Lies" by Bubba Clinton.

Again...

Senator Kerry

If elected will you pardon your adviser, Sandy Berger, for his criminal actions in handling national security information the way Clinton pardoned John Deutch (sp)?
