O'Malley Rumours

Posted on 07/19/2004 1:37:42 PM PDT by xcullen

There are a lot of rumours going around that one of the principal speakers at the Dem Convention is barely holding together some career threatening info. Martin O'Malley, Mayor of Baltimore, is out of the house due to an affair (or many) and reports are there may be a pregnancy. Now I have got this from two separate sources and they are reliable (and not politically hostile to O'Malley). His father-in-law is pretty powerful guy and his wife is a former judge. Anybody hear anything on this?

I live in the Columbia area and have heard rumors of a high profile person getting Sade pregnant.

I wonder if it is a coincidence that she is not working for the leftist tv station any longer?

Question: Has this been reported on talk radio yet?

As an outsider, it seems very unfair to spread unsubstantiated rumors on the internet about the Mayor. I can only surmise that one of the reasons for this is that this is a right-wing website, O'Malleyy's already ahead of Republican Governor Ehrlich more than 2 years before the election, and that O'Malley's perceived (rightly or wrongly) as some sort of threat to the Republican establishment. I hope you can appreciate that by spreading these unfounded rumors you are merely confirming what is conventional wisdom-- O'Malley is a rising star and some will resort to desperate tactics to try to bring him down. It hasn't worked so far and it will continue to fail.

At my work I heard from the hairdresser of a person connected with O'Malley and the thought is that Sade Badeirnwa is with his baby (now hit by a car on work, WJZ).

On Momday, I heard on local MD radio that the reporter, now working for ABC, was hit by a hit-and-run driver while she was reporting a story in NJ. Hmmm...

Sorry about the duplication.

For that, I'll give you all some true "goss." During law school, he was stridently pro-life, taking the view that the man had every bit as much right to determine the future of his unborn child as the mother. Times have changed his once Catholic positions, but not his political ambitions, which his doubly ambitious mother encouraged from childhood with "future leaders" camps and the like. Never much of a student, he spent most of his time in law school on the pay phone raising money, first for Gary Hart and then for "Babs" Mikulski. I always thought he was a Clinton-wannabe without the brains.

I was listening to a piece on Radio Canada about two years ago.

I'm not sure where it was produced, but the "social engineers" were bragging that Baltimore's street bums of the druggie
persuasion come from "all income levels".

The other point I remember is that the street corner drug distribution is such a free-for-all, that violence is quite commonplace.

College kids come into the city to buy their drugs and there are a fair number of lower class whites with drug problems there; but they generally do not have nearly the levels of violence associated with them as the black underclass.

There has been some focus on cleaning up the street corner distribution since one law abiding family was murdered (arson) about 2 years ago for "ratting" on the local dealers. But its been pretty half hearted , IMO.

There seems to be quite a few NEW posters on many boarded/vacant homes: "WE BELIEVE WE'VE BEEN DECEIVED".
Clever!

Do any of you actually live in Baltimore? I do and have for most of my life. Since O'Malley has taken office, the drug problem is definitely getting better, especially over the last 2 years. I have noticed stepped up police patrols walking the beat to deter criminals. I am right in the heart of Baltimore and while there are many problems, O'Malley is not to blame. And I'm not even a democrat. The school budget was not his fault, that problem came from the screwed up board of education in Baltimore and as far as most of the other problems, take a look at the City Council, they definitely have their share of elected idiots. It is getting better though. There are now tougher procedures for getting on welfare (to stop fraud) and lots more drugs programs out there to deter the petty users, as there seems to be no way in hell to stop the flow of drugs. This problem is EVERYWHERE, not just in Baltimore. And while there are many addicts in Baltimore, there are a large amount of users coming to Baltimore from all over MD and elsewhere. If you're gonna bash Baltimore, at least take a look at the REAL progress firsthand, not just with a drive through, either.

I live in Baltimore County and last year O Malley's wife came and gave a speech at our Law Day Ceremonies. When asked about her husband she said he as wonderful and that the sky was his limit. I can't believe that one year later she's kicked him out of the house! ANyone know the condition of this Sade woman? Was she really hit by a car? And how come the local media hasn't said anything about this?

I live in Canton, I have seen progress in the last 5 years or so but not sure how much has to do with O'Malley and how much is just the neighborhood getting better.

Yeah, he cheats on his wife. I heard that he is not allowed in the house and is living in some new high-rise near city hall. He's is a young arrogant punk for sure. I can't him, he is like Slick-Willy.

I know. So many sources are cited that I wonder if O'Malley is telling us the truth.

I just read this thread and it seems very coincidental that a lot of the 'damning' posts were by new posters, and then the thread would be dormant a week or two until another 'new' poster added to the pile. Also, my BS meter sees a strange lack of typical Freeper names by these 'new' posters.

Plus, I wonder who wrote the deleted posts.

This might be the thread that some computer expert traced back to a computer at the State House.

Very sad if true.
