During law school, he was stridently pro-life, taking the view that the man had every bit as much right to determine the future of his unborn child as the mother. Times have changed his once Catholic positions, but not his political ambitions, which his doubly ambitious mother encouraged from childhood with "future leaders" camps and the like. Never much of a student, he spent most of his time in law school on the pay phone raising money, first for Gary Hart and then for "Babs" Mikulski. I always thought he was a Clinton-wannabe without the brains.
