GOOD AFTERNOON TO THE GOOD PEOPLE AT THE FINEST!
For the next few months, I have to be gone most of the time the Dose is posted; I've had to revert to Lurker Mode a lot, but as soon our little home is built in the country, I'll have a computer there, and can Freep, instead of working on the "yard" (really, acreage!) for HOURS at night! Looking forward to seeing you "live" there by year's end, and "live" here, when I can! (((Pippin)))
Look what it did to my cat..
I have to go get another mouse, my laser mouse is doing all kinds of strange things, opening and closing windows, jumpin all over the place.
I think it got a hold of some of darksheares coffee. Be back.......
Las Vegas casino boots singer Linda Ronstadt after performance
LAS VEGAS - Singer Linda Ronstadt not only got booed, she got the boot after lauding filmmaker Michael Moore and his new movie, Fahrenheit 9/11 during a performance at the Aladdin hotel-casino.
Before singing "Desperado" for an encore Saturday night, the 58-year-old rocker called Moore a "great American patriot" and "someone who is spreading the truth." She also encouraged everybody to see the documentary about President Bush.
Ronstadt's comments drew loud boos and some of the 4,500 people in attendance stormed out of the theater. People also tore down concert posters and tossed cocktails into the air.
"It was a very ugly scene," Aladdin President Bill Timmins told The Associated Press. "She praised him and all of a sudden all bedlam broke loose."
Timmins, who is British and was watching the show, decided Ronstadt had to go - for good. Timmins said he didn't allow Ronstadt back in her luxury suite and she was escorted off the property.
Ronstadt's antics "spoiled a wonderful evening for our guests and we had to do something about it," Timmins said.
Timmins said it was the first time he sent a performer packing.
"As long as I'm here, she's not going to play," Timmins said.
Ronstadt had been booked to play the Aladdin for only one show.
Calls to Ronstadt's manager were not immediately returned.
In an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal before the show, Ronstadt said "I keep hoping that if I'm annoying enough to them, they won't hire me back."
Looks like she got her wish
The cat thought teh mouse moved too slow, so it helped the mouse with some coffee..
Sorry 'bout that.
How come is ir that every singer or actor or anybody else whose works I was drawn to in the 1870.s and 1980's are anti American and Anti Bush and do I have to now boycott thier works that I loved so much?
Love that picture of President Bush at his ranch, the country looks so serene and so does he. :O)
I'm BAAAAACK!
I also won't abandon friends and family who are liberals. I try to get through to them....but it doesn't always happen. Not worth fighting over. I love them all regardless of their politics. And I know in my heart that is the right thing to do :-)
Thanks, Colleen, That's what I try to do.
You're Welcome, Pip :-)

I'm finding myself watching some Mel Gibson movies and likeing them!
I wasn't much of a Mel Gibson fan before but I find I really like his acting as well as his versitility.
(not to mention he's really good looking too!)
Maybe I should ping Lawgirl to this post and let her know anoth Mel Gibson fan is "born", HEE! HEE!
YIKES!
Mel is soooooo good looking...IMO :-)
I haven't seen Braveheart but after seeing Mel in The Patriot and this other movie I saw yesterday on the TNT channel, I think it's worth taking a look at it. I'm gonna find the video of it.
You will love it, Pippin. I still have not seen The Patriot, I can't believe I haven't seen it yet...one of these days.
You'll love it!
