FReeper Suggestions To The RNC War Room Monitors: Opinions, Questions, and Advertising Ideas From Your Base
Since reading the post the other night which mentioned that the RNC staffs a 24/7 War Room to monitor media and internet traffic for new ways to define the opposition, I thought that there should be a thread where we can offer constructive ideas to help in the effort. By using a single thread for this, we can save the monitors some time - if you have an idea that would help President Bush or any of the other Republicans, please post it here. Likewise, if you are replying to a different thread with an idea, please link it to this thread as well.

Other points...I would like to see Bush more aggressive. He needs to push his points and screw the dems for theirs! He doesn't need to back down and play defense. He needs to be on the offense!
When his service record gets brought up (and it will) Bush needs to simply say that he won't go there. He needs to make it clear that he will not belittle whatever service Kerry provided to his country..... he needs to say that he served and America should be proud of that service. Make the dems seem petty for belittling Bush's service.
Bush needs to come out strong for the issues that most American's believe in...no to abortion (In this day and age is this really necessary) no to out of control federal spending, no to gay marriage, etc. Bush knows this issues already. He doesn't need to back down on them! He is the only hope we have to stop the run away liberal judges in this country!! If he wins, he will appoint at least two supreme court judges! Conservatives need to realize this!!! This is extremely important!!
More and more minorities are becomming this countries middle class. They now are saddled with supporting welfare, free health care, etc. for those who refuse to work. This point needs to be out there that the dems are the ones adding more and more people to these programs not helping them to get off them and become productive in society!
The RNC should contribute money to the DNC in order that the convention next week here in Boston could be extended.
The traffic gridlock and other problems associated with this gathering coupled with the Big Dig boondoggle would be magnified and it could demonstrate to commuters and others just how screwy the Democrats really are.

You and others are saying this and it needs to be repeated. I caught a glimpse of a Kerry ad the other day that brags about how his fellow Vets support him. The general public is led to believe they all support him.
Where are the majority of his fellow Vets who don't?!

Totally agree. If and when the average American voter REALLY finds out what the 'Swift Boat Veterans' group thinks of Kerry, they'll run away from his opportunistic a** in a minute.
Those men must be heard, and the mainstream media has very effectively and, in a very unprincipled way, ignored these good men. It is disgusting how the media is shaping this election by avoiding news and outrightly lying about events. The RNC must step up and make this clear or we lose!

Excellent words, Beyond the Sea! Kerry has ALWAYS planned to run for President; his telling one of our soldiers during the Vietnam war, "I'm going to be the new JFK!" is proof of it! I'm waiting fervently for the Hildabeast to give him the shaft, and wreck his campaign in whatever way Her Highness decrees to do! (Then, I'll wait fervently for HER to go down in flames in 2008!)

Yes, you are so right. And I've read material that is quoted as saying that he spoke of intentions to be the President back in college and before then. I have always felt that we must be wary of anyone who wants to be a politician when they are very young. It is a very strange impulse for a youth, and generally speaks of someone who thinks they have all the answers.
Kerry has few answers, especially when it comes to questions of honor. He's a fraud, a lifetime fraud.

I agree with you that President Bush should not defend his military service nor belittle Kerry for his. I think that people find this area to be "hands off". The Dems WILL look petty if they go there. Of course their surrogates, the media, will probably continue to hound him on it. I live in Texas, and the Texas National Guard is very well respected. I am about the age of our President, and I remember our young men joining the Guard during the Vietnam War. We were as proud of them as we were of the young men who were in the Army, AF, Navy, Marines and CG. No one thought badly about someone who was in the Guard. Many of my friends and relatives went with the Guard.
1. Don't mention John Kerry in trifolds(MI GOP). Those are passed out in door to door operations. If I'm going door to door on a personal contact, the last thing I want to mention is the other guy. I want to keep it strictly pro-Bush. He has a 4 year record as president. Negatives are needed, but I'd use those in TV ads, radio ads, internet posts, and letters to the editor - not in official campaign personal contacts.
2. Poll challengers. Preferably one for each two or three precincts.
3. Target mailings. I'd let the gun clubs know that John Kerry voted to ban the .30-30.
4. Get the signs out ASAP. I've been asked about them I don't know how many times.
5. Don't sign the AWB or any anti-2nd Amendment bill.
6. Get the truth out about what's happening in Iraq.
7. Find out the last day to register in order to vote in the election. Have rallies a few days before there in fast growing base exurban-semi-rural areas. Many people moved there and have not changed their registration. In Michigan, a rally in Livingston County at that time would have a good effect at firing up the base, and gaining new registrations.
8. Visit more areas like Marquette. The Iron Range and Copper country visits are great. They are conservative but historicly democrat. They don't have the population the Detroit area has, but John Engler won his first race by 17,000 votes.
My first suggestion is to quit wasting money on mailings to my house. I donated the first time without being solicited and I don't need a fake letter from W, Laura or Dick Cheney to push me to donate again. Following these with a phone call harassing my wife doesn't help either.
The solicitations cost money to send and only serve to piss me off, thereby wasting time, effort and money.
