FReeper Suggestions To The RNC War Room Monitors: Opinions, Questions, and Advertising Ideas From Your Base

Since reading the post the other night which mentioned that the RNC staffs a 24/7 War Room to monitor media and internet traffic for new ways to define the opposition, I thought that there should be a thread where we can offer constructive ideas to help in the effort. By using a single thread for this, we can save the monitors some time - if you have an idea that would help President Bush or any of the other Republicans, please post it here. Likewise, if you are replying to a different thread with an idea, please link it to this thread as well.

You actually think the RNC cares what conservatives think?

The Hostage Rescue Attempt In Iran, April 24-25, 1980
Evidence Jimmy Carter abandoned the Shah

A recent article has provided some provacative information regarding former President Jimmy Carter and the Shah. While I had heard or read short articles regarding what is revealed here, the new piece by Alan Peters was an eye opener, and explained so much that I had suspected.

I must admit, I used to be a Jimmy Carter supporter. I voted for him to be re-elected. I cringe when people always refer to the Hostage Rescue Attempt as "Ill Fated", "Catastrophic", "Jimmy Carter's Diaster", when Carter is to be commended for at least actually going through with the attempt, while someone like Bill Clinton allowed the US to be attacked numerous times, only to respond when Monica appeared on television.

I disagree with his timing, I wish heauthorized the rescue earlier, but some accounts tell us that an individual escaped Iran with information as to the exact whereabouts of the Hostages only a week or two before the official date of the Rescue. Jimmy Carter did what he had to do, and so did the men.

The mission did not fail due to the actions of the men or Jimmy Carter, it failed because God did not want us to win that day. 8 Good men died trying to rescue our people in a bold, daring move that our country had no previous reason to prepare for, nor did they anticipate the incidents beforehand.

But, since I have grown up a little, and learned a few things regarding politics, I have learned that Jimmy Carter was one of the worst Presidents the United States ever had. Maybe THE worst. Carter's failure to order us into actual combat with Iran in 1979-1980 over the Hostage incident allowed the rise of radical Islam to begin. The snowball effect of that radical Islam was shown on September 11, 2001.

While I have personal feelings regarding whether we should have gone to war against Iran for the taking of our embassy back in 1979, I at least regarded the man as a decent man, a well meaning man.

Events in the last 10 years, however, and knowlege of events of the 1980's have shown Jimmy Carter to be a dishonorable man. In fact, if the accounts are corect, Jimmy Carter is a traitor.

It is reported that Jimmy Carer contacted the Soviet KGB in asking for help in defeating Ronald Reagan.

Jimmy Carter is the man Bill Clinton sent to North Korea to supposedly cause North Korea to give up their desire for nuclear weapons, only to have them re-start their program immediately after he left.

Jimmy Carter has also made disparaging comments about our present President, George Bush for Bush's efforts to stop terrorism.

Jimmy Carter must make such statements, because if the truth be told, the origin of terrorism worldwide was the fall of Iran, and that fall was hastened due to Jimmy Carter's direct actions and lack of action.

RNC WAR ROOM: How Bad Do They Want It ?

Neither of the blow dried poodles are willing to give up their seat in the senate.

"We want to run the country, but we won't risk our day jobs" isn't exactly what I would call the "entrepreneurial spirit".

Good idea...

Some suggestions:

1. Keep Cheney on the ticket. Americans value loyalty.

2. More national TV addresses to keep Americans informed of how the war on terror is coming.

3. Walk amongst the anti-war "peaceniks" in NYC, allow the nation to see firsthand the hatefulness and anti-Americanism of these people.

4. Put Iran and Syria on notice for their role in terrorism. The American public does not want to think the left has hamstrung you and the war effort because of their opposition and obstruction of the war effort.

5. Kick the UN out of the USA. Americans would love that.

6. Continue to fight for values and decency in America.

7. Seal the borders. Build a wall on the Mexican border.

***A Free Republic America:A Platform Worth Running On***

1. All Judges and other Advise and Consent provisions require a simple majority, period, no 60 vote abuse.

2. All public and governmental employees are banned from joining unions.

3. Judges shall be limited to enforcing laws, not adding to or taking from laws passed by congreess. When there is a question, the law is referred back to the legislature.

4. Federal election Campaigns must provide immediate disclosure of donations on the internet, complete visibility, no personal limit.

Candidates are responsible for 3rd party ads, and must approve ads run on their behalf.

The President's weekly address no longer requires "response" as it is a report on work not a political speech.

Candidates who nowingly lie in their public statements or printed material, (ie. Kerry contiunues to cite disproved facts.) lose their matching funds.

No Senator or Congressman may run for President unless they step down from office.

Campaigns start 6 months prior to the election, and no matching funds may be used prior to that time, and may not repay any expenses incurred prior to that time.

In what may come as a shock to the networks, the broadcast bands are the property of the American people, and they shall provide free prime time debate time for all federal elections. period. Those debates shall be admisistered by private non profit groups unaffilated with any party.

I read this morning that the AP has filed a lawsuit for access to even more of W's military records.

If the media wants to raise that issue again, the GOP should be ready with some ammo of its own. Specifically: Did Kerry lie about the medals he threw over the fence???

Here's the text of an email I sent to a political reporter at the Boston Globe:

4/27/04

To: Patrick Healy, Boston Globe

KERRY'S SILVER STAR SIGNED IN THE 80'S??

I've come across something I don't understand and would appreciate you're clearing it up. Given the current issue over Senator Kerry's "medal toss" this may be important. Please understand...I am not demeaning Kerry's valor in any way. I honor his willingness to serve in a very difficult conflict.

I was looking at the military records on his website and I noticed that John Lehman signed his Silver and Bronze Star citations. Kerry served in Viet Nam in 1968-69. Lehman wasn't Navy Secretary until the 1980's.

Kerry's original Silver Star citation was signed by Admiral Zumwalt, but is not among the documents he put on his website. (It's at findlaw.com---I provide link below.) Kerry did post two versions of the Silver Star citation, one signed by Admiral John Hyland and another one signed by John Lehman. All are undated. But John Lehman was Secretary of the Navy from Feb., 1981 to Apr., 1987 (concurrent with the time Kerry was changing his story about his "medal toss"). Why would Lehman have signed the last citation? Maybe Kerry applied for replacement medals? (Still, wouldn't Kerry have used his original citation(s) signed by Zumwalt or Hyland? Unless he'd lost them?). See what I mean? This makes no sense. Lehman also signed one of the Bronze Star citations.

The language of the various documents is only slightly different. So why the new versions during Lehman's tenure? The only explanation I can think of is that Kerry applied for replacement medals. If that's the case, he has more questions to answer today.

_____________________________________

Original Silver Star citation (Zumwalt) at findlaw.com(scroll down to Kerry: "Silver Star")

Subsequent Silver Star citations (Hyland and Lehman) on Kerry's site. Bronze Star citations are there as well.

Mr. Healy responded within 20 minutes and said he had not noticed Lehman's signatures and found it "interesting, indeed". He was going to investigate it. But he hasn't written about it (on the web) and has not answered my subsequent emails asking him if he'd found an explanation.

One other thing: I haven't heard a word about Kerry's lack of private-sector experience. Seems like a ripe area for discussion to me.

For those who don't remember, Kerry was changing his story about the "medal toss" back in the 80's when he decided to run for the Senate. For years he had said he "threw his medals" over that fence.

But when he started his 1981 campaign a union boss told him throwing away his medals wasn't popular with the blue collar crowd. Voila! After 15 years he suddenly revealed that he had thrown someone else's medals and showed a reporter his medals safely tucked away in his study.

The changing story is at the heart of this matter.

(1) I am disappointed that I cannot be more specific here, since I heard 2nd hand about this caller (within the past week) to Rush.

But he was an articulate (not refined) black man (from Texas?). A man who would not be percieved immediately as a "Powell/Rice Uncle Tom"; who was able to clearly speak about the benefits to black people in rejecting the Democrats. That whole notion that they've been decieved and used (and taken for granted), kept dependent upon the government, in order to assure a voting bloc; and that their true freedom from this slavery lies in the direction of conservatism.

This man, and others like him, should be tracked down! and invited to join the President visiting large black venues (churches~?) across the country.

(2) Y'all have to find a creative (innovative, state-of-the-art, shrewd, cutting-edge, unusual) way to make a mass impact upon the cultural drones who aren't listening except to the occasional (or regular) network newscast. Sort of the "next-generation" Contract With America.

Research topic:

JFnK says he is a hunter and gun owner. If so, where did he pass his Hunter Safety Course? Where and when has he hunted? Did he buy a Hunting Licence? (there are records) or is he a POACHER????

By the way, Hillary says she has hunted ducks also and Bill went duck hunting for the Press once. Same questions for them.

I smell fraud and lying.

You mean:

Progressive Convention: "Building the Progressive Wing of the Democratic Party" hosted by Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) 10 am - 3:30 pm

Roxbury Community College, Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center T stop: Roxbury crossing on the Orange line.

Moderators: Danielle Feris, Progressive Democrats of America; Laura Blubaugh, Progressive Democrats of America; Mimi Kennedy, Actress, Activist & Progressive Democrats of America; Tim Carpenter, Progressive Democrats of America; Warren Tolman, Clean Elections Activist

Speakers: Cynthia Peters, Fund the Dream DNC Coalition ; Representative Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio); Representative John Conyers (D-Michigan); Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Illinois) (invited); Dorris "Granny D" Haddick, Senatorial Candidate (D- New Hampshire); Reverend Jesse Jackson, Executive Director Rainbow/Push Coalition (invited); Dr. James Zogby, Founder and President of the Arab American Institute; Marianne Williamson, Global Renaissance; Kevin Spidel, Progressive Vote; Boston Councilman Chuck Turner (District 7) ?and others TBA

That doesn't imply membership - though Zogby gets mentioned a little bit too frequently on that page. I'll say that much. I assume it's the same Zogby.

What the URL for their Dem membership list?

And they're only going to get nastier as they see Kerry & Edwards chances get slimmer and slimmer. Yep. They'll get down right desperate.

Add pro-death penalty, hanoi john is anti-death penalty and proposes a moratorium on the Federal DP, which means OBL won't get it used on him if he is capatured under a hanoi john administration. He is soft on crime, he was lt gov to dukakis...who released willie horton on the public.

Most homicide victims survivors favor the DP. It use to be a big issue in campaigns.
