I want to put together a video for streaming. I want to show the contrast between Bush and the left, hoping to get African Americans to consider conservatism.
I would also appreciate any other input on how the video should go. I have not made up my mind fully what I want. I will make it available for any one who wants to run it on TV.
President Bush has appointed more blacks to high level places, including the first ever black Sec. of State; Condi Rice as National Security Advisor; Ron Paige to education--all high profile, high level jobs with real responsibility.
He has proposed vouchers which would help black parents get a better education for their children--shot down by the dems. Incidentally, the Dem. cry that GWB does not care about education and has not funded it is bogus. Since Dem. President Carter made education Cabinet level, govt funding has skyrocketed and schools have continued to deteriorate. Bush's first year in office was probably the greatest increase in ed. spending, ever--around 35%, I believe. Check it out to be accurate. Last year they say he cut ed. spending, meaning he controlled rise in spending because of the huge amount it grew in the two prior years--to Dems a smaller rise in spending than they demand is a cut..
He has tried to start faith based programs which work in the communities through people the locals know, which is the most productive way to go, but Dems have blocked it. This would help blacks disproportunately because their communities are structured around their churches more than other communities.
Blacks need to quit listening to JJackson, Mfume, and Julian Bond and Al Sharpton and find out what is going on. Basically, the working, church going blacks are conservative in values and should be a part of the much maligned religious right by conviction and interests.
Blacks need to know that Republicans in the South were the ones that registered blacks to vote, not the Dems. Listen to or read Condi Rice's story about how the Republicans registered her grandfather to vote when the Dems wouldn't and how her family has been Republican ever since.
Call the 700 Club and ask for info from them about blacks in the Christian/political/celebrity movements and quote them. They feature a lot of them on their program. I remember hearing a black woman a lot about 4-5 years ago named Kay Cole James--came from the projects and rose to a high position in govt under either Reagan or Bush 1. She is great.
Basically, Repubs just need to go into the black community and tell them we need their vote and would appreciate it. Why should Dems be the only politicos going into the black churches.
vaudine
Bush treats them like anyone else, as equals, something Democrats never do.
If there are people who are poor, he looks to help the poor giving no preference to color.
That is the way to be.
Wrong approach. Tell them to wake up and realize it is 2004, and it's time to get off the DemocRAT/NAALCP plantation!
Black people know good conservative values, they are just being intimidated by the liberal 'Leaders' of the NAALCP wing of the DemocRAT party, the real 'massas'.
African-Americans are better off under Bush than they would be if they were colored.
The question should be asked,,,,,,,,how have Democrats helped black people? Bush choses the brightest and the best.........and looks beyond color. I defy anyone to disagree.
not too long ago one man saw the dream of one america...
...all my children, will be judged not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character...
non devisive. uniting. striving for an american ideal.
johns kerry and edwards talking the two americas lines.
today one man speaks of an america only dreamt of...
bush with colin powell, condoleeza rice, and the rest of his cabinet.
no matter what comes before the hyphen... in the end, we are all americans....
fade to black and white and yellow and red and fuscia...
I wish I could remember his name, but a black man was asked this on Fox today. "What has Bush done for the black community?" He answered "What he has done for Americans!"
The questioner didn't even seem to get it as well as he understood it, because he said well yeah but...and asked for specifics. That surprised me.
This IS a great tool for 'mind-shifting'! Don't make race an issue. We're not Afro-Americans, but Americans. Help people see they are included equally. I almost said help the blacks see. No, help people see that the spending on defense was for THEIR security. The changes at the CIA are for THEIR 'hood, etc!
One problem I see is that the Blacks and Latinos feel more bonded to each other than us, because they're the minority. It's that 'we're persecuted' mindset.
This info/film should be distributed for both Latinos and Blacks. I'm surrounded with primarily Latinos and was wondering how to approach them. I'm going to get the registration materials from the Bush campaign, and then I can use all this info when talking to them. Thanks!
Bush has given Condi Rice a springboard from which to launch a presidential campaign in 2008. That is worth thanking Bush for.
2. He REMEMBERS....
White, black, we are ALL Americans. The other party is behaving abominably on those two points.
Janet wants to know ~ "What have you done for me lately?"
That is what the cry babies at the naacp are upset about. They view the world in a paranoid schizo mode.= Blacks are still being strung up by whitey, black voters in Fl. were arrested at check-points to dis-enfranchise their vote, David Duke was at the polling booths dressed in Klan attire to intimidate the black voters, the police unleased those crazed german sheperds on the black voters for sheer pleasure. Damn, if the members of that organization puport this is how life is in the USA today, then go to Sudan. I am sure they would welcome them with open arms. Maybe it's the kool-aid they are drinking at the meetings.Bush/Cheny 2004. Let's Roll!!!

Put in Cosby's comments too.
When you decide to do a video on how President Bush has helped Polish-Americans let me know.
