A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

~ Billie, Mama_bear, dutchess, Aquamarine,

Hey..Giz here...Today's a re-run day. Had a great thread lined up for today....but FredtheCat and I got carried away with all the ice cream from Billie's thread and took a too long nap. Plus....never saw I re-run we didn't like. ENJOY!

How Many Dogs Does It Take to Change A Light Bulb?

Golden Retriever: The sun is shining, the day is young, we've got our whole lives ahead of us, and you're inside worrying about a stupid burned out bulb?

Border Collie: Just one. And then I'll replace any wiring that's not up to code.

Dachshund: You know I can't reach that stupid lamp!

Rottweiler: Make me.

Boxer: Who cares? I can still play with my squeaky toys in the dark.

Lab: Oh, me, me!!!!! Pleeeeeeeeeze let me change the light bulb! Can I? Can I? Huh? Huh? Huh? Can I? Pleeeeeeeeeze, please, please!

German Shepherd: I'll change it as soon as I've led these people from the dark, check to make sure I haven't missed any, and make just one more perimeter patrol to see that no one has tried to take advantage of the situation.

Jack Russell Terrier: I'll just pop it in while I'm bouncing off the walls and furniture.

Old English Sheep Dog: Light bulb? I'm sorry, but I don't see a light bulb?

Cocker Spaniel: Why change it? I can still pee on the carpet in the dark.

Chihuahua: Yo quiero Taco Bulb.

Pointer: I see it, there it is, there it is, right there ..

Greyhound: It isn't moving. Who cares?

Australian Shepherd: First, I'll put all the light bulbs in a little circle ...

Poodle: I'll just blow in the Border Collie's ear and he'll do it. By the time he finishes rewiring the house, my nails will be dry.

The Cat Answer???...... Dogs do not change light bulbs. People change light bulbs. So,the real question is: How long will it be before I can expect some light, some dinner, and a massage?????

4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it.

Oh, Louie, I'm sorry for that loss, and can identify.

We after several kitties and down to having one adopted stray, inherited our daughter's cat - Snuggles, 'The First Grandkitty' - when Jennifer moved and could not take her with her.

She lived with us (with other cats coming and going) and literally nursed my husband back to health after his heart attack in 1992, when I continued to work two more years before being sidelined myself.

Although never otherwise jumping up on counters, etc., if he sat at the dining room table overlooking the sliding doors and large deck beyond, she would get up on the table and make him put his arms in a circle around her.
She literally loved him into feeling better!

She lived until she was 17....bet Weinie has met her...

How special! : )

I'd like to have another cat, but don't know how Grady would respond to her. Guess I'll just stick to pups. : )

But I'd like to be myself again.
BUT, while I was being a frozen circular confection someone ran off with my clothes.

...ducking & running for cover

...course the good morning was for Colleen also.

Hi, Wolfie - if I were your dog,
I'd just love to have a kitty to chase play with . . .

"But I'd like to be myself again.

Steps to Recovery:

Return to castle in # 74.
Enter, filch procure suitable clothing,
preferably not made of metal,
and you thus will become socially acceptable.

(P.S. - Do NOT steal borrow any of LadyX's or duchesses' clothing,
or any other articles of the women's attire in the castle!!)

It is indeed a good day, BIS!

I probably shouldn't tell you this but, being who I am, Topsey is having a real blast here! No problems. We are a bunch of happy critters! Topsey sends love but is busy planning a party and consoling Buddy Clinton. Again!.

Nancee and Snuggles are among my best friends. They are doing great. I have a lot of cat friends. And one purple gorilla with sawdust for brains!
