He just announced this on Hardball; he said that Kerry told him this personally on the phone while they were discussing Reagan's appearance at the Democratic Convention that his first act in office if he's elected will be to sign an executive order to reverse Bush's stem cell policy.
His father, he ain't.
Can you also believe this Ron works for Hardball/MSBNC? Another liberal working for a liberal news outlet.
I can;t wait until election night to see little Ron-Ron in tears and the whole Democratic Party gagging thier collective scum sucking whiney ass namby pamby baby killing butts off ove the results.
Doesn't matter, Kerry will never get the chance.
We need a president who believes in science again in America," Kerry said. "We need to be prepared, and one of the first things that I will do as president by executive order immediately is reverse the gag rule and also move America forward to do stem cell research and begin to find the cures we need."
I was looking for past Kerry statements about the first EO he said he would enact because I'm certain that he said the same thing about an entirely different subject....
I'll find it.
That and the Gay Marriage vote
I'm thinking the Pope won't be meeting with Kerry any time soon
What you said.
ROTFL!
As Howlin pointed out,
the 30 days of mourning are up.
The little twit deserves our ridicule.
My gosh, Michael Reagan is truly his father's son.
Kerry didn't tell him on the phone, he told him while they were spooning.
Give Kerry a few more weeks and he will be saying he will restore Saddam Hussein back to power
I was thinking today, about F'n claiming to believe that life begins at conception, but he wouldn't challenge abortion: how can we expect him to guard America from terrorists when he won't even fight for his own "beliefs."
I don't understand how anyone who's paying attention can say that... but I've seen them on this forum. Amazing.
OK, *Ron*, tell us how embryonic stem cell research will help with Alzheimers? You're such an expert on this, let us know what the advantages are of embryonic stem cell research on any brain disease.
I'm going to have to dig up some articles I saw a few years ago on the results of embryonic stem cell experiements on people with Parkinson's Disease. The results were disasterous and horrific!
So, shut the flip up, *Ron*, until you know what you're talking about.
They will think of something else to bitch about...
And Edwards will defend him
Why are these people so obsessed with (embryonic) stem cells? In repeated research, EMBRYONIC stem cells have had no success whatsoever. However, adult stem cells, as well as those from placentas and umbilical cords, have shown promise.
In fact, a couple of days ago, I read about some experiments with the stem cells found in fat, which succeeded in mice to the point that the stem cells (gathered from their own fat through liposuction) were able to grow bone. This is much more useful: one's own fat cells, growing a tissue or organ that will not be rejected. (Sorry, I don't think they have to remove many fat cells to do this...)
Junior is a disgrace to the memory of his father. I've been thinking all day about emailing the library to voice my dissatisfaction with this Junior.
There's nothing stopping private firms from using their own monies. The reason why they ain't is because stem-cell research is unproven and costly. That's why the Left wants OUR money to be used for it.
Well, I think stem cell research is very promising but I don't think tax money should be used to fund it like many other projects that have promise. Tell me why private pharma can't do it as they do so much in the drug field ? I believe they will and the benefits won't necessarily come from fetal stem cells. We understand so little about cellular machinery at present but I am constantly amazed at the progress being made.
They are not interested in the truth, they want to have an issue and the idea the President Bush is doing nothing to save lives suits them just fine. Facts what are those??? not important and not nearly as heart wrenching.
