Why are these people so obsessed with (embryonic) stem cells? In repeated research, EMBRYONIC stem cells have had no success whatsoever. However, adult stem cells, as well as those from placentas and umbilical cords, have shown promise.

In fact, a couple of days ago, I read about some experiments with the stem cells found in fat, which succeeded in mice to the point that the stem cells (gathered from their own fat through liposuction) were able to grow bone. This is much more useful: one's own fat cells, growing a tissue or organ that will not be rejected. (Sorry, I don't think they have to remove many fat cells to do this...)

They seem to be diabolically obsessed with going down another slippery slope of slaughtering the unborn. It's bizarre. This is Frankenstein stuff out of a campy B SciFi/horror movie.
