Writing a book, need some help
John Risvold

Posted on 07/04/2004 12:29:25 AM PDT by vmoney

Hey everybody, i'm writing a book on how Kerry will be very bad for America and i need a little help. If anyone has any tips of advice or anything i could cite that would be great(specifically Kerry's plans/failures in the areas of the economy, health care, education, and national security). Also some ideas for a title would be of great help. The book should be out end of August. Thanks a lot,
John Risvold

My advice would be: hurry. You've got four months.

The book should be out end of August.

IMO, you are cutting it a little fine.

Start here:

-John Kerry- some selected, informative links...--

-The Prince of Tides- Bush ads, Kerry ads, the Tides Foundation, and so much more--

-Kansas City Kerry- "The Phoenix Project"--

Quoth Bill O'Reilly: "Which candidate do the terrorists want? Vote for the other guy!" Explore why that is. What benefits do a Kerry presidency offer the terrorists?

One aspect would be to emphasize what it would have been like if Gore would have been president on 9/11 and show that Kerry is no different.

Indeed, a Kerry presidency should be shown as a retrogression into Clintonoid foreign and domestic policy.

Clinton's fecklessness emboldened the terrorists into thinking that they had nothing to fear from us. [The Left's drumbeat portrayals of Bush as an idiot who was illegitimately in power didn't help.]

My advice would be to peruse his voting record and compare it to his rhetoric. Does anyone remember who carries the politicians and how they voted on issues? Capitol Hill Blue used to do it..havn't been there in awhile. Numbers USA also has some info. Also Fair.org.

I have some proofreading/editing experience if you want me to take a look at it--feel free to FReepmail me privately if you prefer. What's your thesis and what is the arrangement of the topics you plan to cover?

Didn't Spy Magazine shut down? This post reads just like a Spy Mag article. My favorite was the one they did with Computer help desk calls. Totally hysterical.

Make this a Comic Book, more people will read and remember a comic book than a serious, heavy work.

IMO, Kerry's policies present their own book. First, I would begin by questioning why John Kerry, with his so-called "record of public service" has nothing to run on (including his record in the Senate) but his experiences in Vietnam, such as they were. Then you might go into his association with the Kennedy's, at whose feet Kerry learned his political lessons.

From there, you might venture into his socialistic politics and explore where they came from as a means of investigating his "Plans" for health care and education. As a tangent to those two issues, you might explore where, in the Constitution, it says that I am responsible for my neighbors' health care and that of their 50 illegitimate children and look into how much money is currently being thrown into a failing public education system and why it costs so much to produce high school graduates who are dumber than a bucket of hair.

Along the way, you might also look into how Kerry has stalked and married rich widows while, officially, at least, pretending to be a veritable public pauper.

From my perspective, Kerry has so much baggage that any book about him would fill an entire set the set of the Encyclopedia Britannia.

My advice would be to skip the book.

If you want to make a difference write op-ed pieces and try to get them in the papers, and set up a blog you update daily.

Your book will only be preaching to the choir. Nobody who is no the fence or on Kerry's side is going to read an entire book, let alone an on-line book.

Also, books should not be rushed. Only a handful of people in this world can write a decent book. A smaller number can write a good book quickly. Almost none can write one in a couple of weeks and produce something of substance and that is readable.

If you feel like you need to write a book, write one that will have a real impact, and that will be worth reading after November.
