Californians Give Kerry a not so warm welcome
John Kerry had a major fundraiser dinner this Thursday in Los Angeles; Kerry and friends, Neil Diamond, Barbara Streisand, and others met at the Walt Disney Concert hall, where they hosted an event for which tickets ranged from $2,000 to $25,000. This was of course, a great chance to show Mr. Kerry that not all Californians support him, and that when he comes here hes sure to encounter some resistant. As it has become almost a tradition around here, Kerrys presence brought on a grandiose demonstration of the FReeping abilities of us Californians.
This amazing demonstration was organized by our ferocious leader RonDog; the FReep went without a hitch. There were about 30 of us, the most notable were of course Saddam (played by RonDog), and Flipper the dolphin. Another highlight of the FReep was a pick-up truck adorned by several conservative messages, e.g. Kerry is Unfit; and a group of pro-lifers not far from where we were standing (and they had HUGE signs).
The media was everywhere, and they did several interviews. We all know that the most important thing in every FReep is to get our message heard as loud and clear as possible; and from this point of view this was clearly a success. One of the major advantages we had during this demonstration was the location; the Walt Disney Music Hall is one of the most dazzling buildings in Downtown L.A. and being across the street from such a place gave us a chance to sort of cut in. We made a lot of heads turn, and as usual we also made a lot of middle fingers rise. All together, this was everything youd want a FReep to be like.
LOL! BTTT
Excellent! Huge Bump!
Here are the PICTURES
LOL, what a hoot! Too cool. I LOVE the flipper costume!
Could not stop laughing.
Where can I get one of those Flipper costumes? Le Gigilo will be returning to Iowa, and I need to be ready!
HOW DARE YOU! We in Massachusetts (those of us with half a brain, that is - wait a second, somehow that just doesn't sound right) have had ENOUGH of Kerry. We really need to catch our breath and SHARE him with the rest of the country (and the world's rogue leaders, and terrorists, too!). (sarcasm)
We may very well be in for a 4-year or an 8-year round of Kerry-nomics and the days of whine and neuroses. But at least the DHIMMICRATS may mellow out a bit and stop popping and frying so many neurons as they have been lately.
Love that Flipper costume!
Most execellent signs.
Very GOOD! Thank you.

Many thanks also to doodlelady for transferring it onto a HUGE "FReep-ready" poster:
Outstanding! Glad to see some great American citizens putting the spurs to Kommie Kerry and his pinko cronies.
Outstanding, guys! You are the greatest!
BRAVO!!!!!
This nation can't survive 4 years of Kerry, much less 8. I'm afraid we be at war here in the US first. (Since our enemy doesn't believe in guns, it would be a short war.)
You guys should also check out the Pre-FReep thread.

Big Stars Play Supporting Role to Kerry
Top-name entertainers and industry players pack a gala that raises $5million for the Democrat. Earlier stops in north rake it in too.By Matea Gold and Geoff Boucher, Times Staff WritersSen. John F. Kerry scooped up $5 million for his presidential bid in a lavish gala in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday night that featured an array of Hollywood heavy hitters who took center stage in calling for President Bush's defeat.
The Democratic presidential hopeful was feted by entertainers such as Barbra Streisand, Billy Crystal and Willie Nelson at a two-hour program before 2,000 donors at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Though Streisand and Nelson represent longtime liberal voices from the music industry, a parade of younger Hollywood celebrities was on hand as well, with Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Affleck, Jamie Foxx and Ben Stiller lending their names and time to Kerry's candidacy.
At a pre-show dinner in an airy foyer of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, where top donors dined on shrimp and filet mignon, Kerry embraced Streisand and glad-handed a roster of political and entertainment heavyweights: actor Robert De Niro, producer Harvey Weinstein, former California Gov. Gray Davis, City Councilman Antonio Villaraigosa and mayoral candidate Bob Hertzberg...

Streisand performed her 1964 hit "People," but with new lyrics: "Rumsfeld, we must get rid of Rumsfeld/He's the spookiest person in the world . This war we're lost in/Don't ask what it's costing/What's a trillion or two to rule the world?"

Across the street from Disney Hall, a cluster of Bush supporters toted signs with slogans such as "Kerry is not Catholic." Some of the 50 or so demonstrators held inflatable dolphins, with one of the supporters dressed as Flipper, in a jab at Kerry's reputation among Republicans as flip-flopping on issues...CLICK HERE for the rest of that article
