Welcome to TGIF at the Finest!   We hope you've been having as much fun as we have with our essays and/or spotlight on various FReepers. From the beginning, we've been kicking back on Saturdays and Sundays and simply reviewing the features of the week; our weekend threads now start on Friday and continue through Sunday. As much as I hate to admit it his influence is important around here. Went back and had the Admin make the corrections on my OI Post the other day (including the typo you found and another one that I found) since you said you were sending a link out to your grandchildren. Just couldn't stand the thought of confusing them with misspelled words.

I have been wandering darkened hallways far from the beaten path where dark things lurk behind shadowed doors, and things wait for the unwary to stumble, and discordant voices chant in strange tongues to unknown and foreign gods.

I feel so bad I can't stay here and thank each and every one of you (just yet - but I promise I am going to acknowledge each individual BD 'wish' as soon as I can get back online to stay)

Aqua, thank you first of all - BIG TIME! - for putting the weekend thread up for me. Just knew the dead phone line was going to be very short-lived, but it's still dead, and what I've done to get here and say hello and thank you all is the funniest-looking thing - I've got several long phone lines strung from my dining room (which is the closest phone jack for the main line) all the way into the back of my pc. It's slower than Christmas, keeps disconnecting, and just generally annoying!

I'm LOVING every one of your 'cards' and posts and will be back as soon as I can to tell you personally.

thanks Aqua.. Enjoyed the weeks offerings. I do NOT always have time to post, but I normally do read what the "presenters" give to us.

Here is a little humor ... it is a cool dreary day here.. I got a chuckle out of these...

Murphy's Law Regarding Kids:

1. The later you stay up, the earlier your child will wake up the next morning.

2. For a child to become clean, something else must become dirty.

3. Toys multiply to fill any space available.

4. The longer it takes you to make a meal, the less your child will like it.

5. Yours is always the only child who doesn't behave.

6. If the shoe fits...it's expensive.

7. The surest way to get something done is to tell a child not to do it.

8. The gooier the food, the more likely it is to end up on the carpet.

9. Backing the car out of the driveway causes your child to have to go to the bathroom.

10. The more challenging the child, the more rewarding it is to be a parent...sometimes.
