"Why Are You Running?"
Support Run Against Bush's First TV Ad Campaign
*POSTPONED DUE TO RAIN!*
New Filming Date - Next Tuesday June 29th
We have said from the beginning that Run Against Bush is about each individual members reasons for running. Now we have a chance to showcase some of those reasons.
We have been given the opportunity to make a TV ad to take our members voices to key battleground states. But we need your help to do it.
A production crew has donated the time and equipment to make the ad, but we still need to pay for basic film costs and we still need to get people for the shoot. Donate now to help produce and air our first TV ad campaign featuring our members' voices.
And be a part of the action! Show up on June 29th at 6pm in Central Park, NYC (at Bethesda Fountain near the boat pond) to take part in the filming. All donors will receive a shirt at the shoot (min $25 donation). Bring as many people as possible.
Together our voices can be heard! Please consider donating today. To receive a copy of the script email script@runagainstbush.org.
Attendance, of course, is strictly voluntary!!
By the way, I've been running in 10ks, 5ks, Marathons for twenty years. Races (and running clubs) are incredibly positive-thinking things. I have my copy of the Chicago Runner on my lap as I type this, these are some actual races taking place this year in the Chicago area: "Race for Young Life," "Run for Freedom," "Chicago Firefighters Run for the Kids," "Run for the Mind." You get the idea.
There are several groups that run for charities, such as the American Cancer Society, the Leukemia Society, among others. The Run Against Bush group is the only negatively-driven running (or fitness) group out there. Leave it to the liberals, as always, to get nasty. As I've noted here a few times before, they're unable to run for Kerry. It's all about rage and anger.
Did my first training run Monday in my "Run For Bush" shirt. Go "W"
Run against Bush, but once again, terror? What`s that? 954 days since 911 and I`m still waiting for the mass protests against terrorism. Has hell frozen over yet? Guess not.
The election protest was rained out? Could be a sign from above.
Yeah, clearly proof that there is a God.
Now brothers and sisters let's pray for a major electrical storm for their parade on the 29th.
"He singlehandedly has undone decades of work to protect the environment, build good international relations, and protect human rights. " -- Matthew
Human rights? I guess he prefers genocide and tyrants throwing people into woodchippers?
"Either he loses, and I've done my part to rid the country of the worst president in its history, or the idiots vote for him and he wins, and I'll be in shape to run my ass right across the border." -- Abigail
Good sweetheart. Run right across the border and the ocean to Al Qaida since I`ve yet to hear one bad word about them from morons like you.
"Behind a mask of traditional Republican values such as fiscal conservatism, personal freedom and constraint upon government, the Bush Administration in fact has blown the budget, constricted civil liberties and engineered the largest expansion of the federal government in our nation's history. While the damage resulting from such recklessness at home may well take decades to counteract, it pales in comparison to the international disgrace the U.S. is accruing day-by-day through our President's vicious, ignorant power-play in Iraq. " -- Michael
Well Mike, if Kerry wins you can see just what "power play" means and what the result of 8 years of appeasement will do again if you missed it the first time with Bubba..
Man, I`m reading the rest of these quotes. I cant believe these are legit.
"Our Country's in trouble, and I ate too many christmas cookies" -- John "I can't run away from him." -- Jeff "he is the axis of Evil" -- Jill

All the while thousands show up for a Clinton book-signing. It is bizarre beyond words!
Yes, haven't you heard? There's going to be a huge "Run Against Islamo-Fascist Terror" event with Al Gore, John Kerry, Ed Asner and a horde of lib entertainers, pols, musicians, and other "artists" in a massive run protesting against the scum who would like to kill all of us liberal and conservative alike. (I could barely finish this without breaking down laughing at the thought of libs actually interested in supporting the president and our armed forces in combatting terrorists...sometimes I get real silly.)

Put some napalm on those suckers!
Ugh, I had to suffer thru some of those morons starting near me with the t-shirts "I'm running against Bush" at the Cherry Blossom 10-miler a couple months ago. I wonder how they liked it when Marine-1 buzzed the race-course after the start?
how did you do in the race? What was your time?
Uhhh, for me, I was happy that I finished....it was
my first race since Marine Corps Marathon in 2000,
after which I became pregnant with, and had, my
third child. It has been very hard to run consistently
these days. So, the 1:37 I did was really pretty good.
When I signed up, I was hoping for 1:40. (I'm a solid back-of-the-middle-of-the-packer.) Add to the fact that I only had about 4 hours of sleep the night before, I was happy. (Or, as happy as I ever get about anything.)
Washington seems to be a hot spot for the Run Against Bush crowd, according to a running message board I drop in on once in a while.
Maybe they'll get a tornado next time.
I remember that it started to drizzle when Reagan's casket left the Capitol building. Heaven does cry, me thinks. Someone should take a memo, and, a hint.
Let's hope that for some as-yet unexplained reason, perhaps global warming, it rains in buckets on the 29th!
