Neil Cavuto discussing this situation said to a guest could it ever get to the point where we say to the Saudi's:

"Take your oil and shove it."

"There are also more and more rumblings to indicate that at least a sizable group of Palestinians has belatedly come to the realization that Arafat's intifada has brought them nothing but their own death, destruction, and misery. The terror will likely not completely subside until that message becomes more widespread."

Yeah, I read an interesting editorial, albeit from some ivory-towered 'journalist', who proposed that giving the Pals some sort of autonomous rule over themselves in some disputed piece of land over there might help the anti-terror cause, as they'd be forced to run their country by themselves with no support (i.e. money) from Israel. Within a short time, the lack of power and running water would force them to realize that perhaps Israel isn't their problem and that guys like AraRAT are.

Good post, btw.

Take their oil and their country

Are we morally and militarily prepared to do this? We can't even agree on security measures within our own country...we go goofy when the stupid pictures from Abu Ghraib get published.

We cannot even hold Christian religious services in Saudi Arabia for fear of offending the brutes...and I don't hear anyone demanding that this bizarre practice end.

We should bomb Mecca --- flatten it like we flattened the cities of the Nazis. We didn't hesitate back then when it became clear that's what had to be done. It's time to let them know we mean business --- call off the jihad or mecca goes. They'll have nothing to worship with their butts up in the air 5 times a day.

In response to al queda and its phoney religion i think all charges should be dropped against those in the military and civilians accused of abuse of the Iraqi prisoners. The Iraqi prisoners obviously got what they deserved and i don't care!

"Pick up some books and read about it, you'd be surprised."

When I see a mob of muslims protesting this horrible act, then I'll be surprised.

I agree with the gist of your charges against Bush but not that they represent specific promises that Bush didn't keep his word on.

"Either way, whether or not you want to get your hands dirty, people will suffer and people will be killed. The only thing that will ever change is how much, and how many. Get used to it."

I'm used to it. I'm also not surprised by it. But your nonchalant "Oh well - people will die anyways" approach solves absolutely nothing.

First, there's nothing nonchalant about it. That's the point. Standing around wringing our hands, gasping 'Oh, the humanity' is emotionally soothing but accomplishes nothing. Toppling dictators and dragging their people into the 21st century is dirty work but it makes the world a better place.

Second, there is no comparison between our policy and Israel's. They strike at the branches of evil, we're striking at the roots. Both courses of action produce a lot of dead people, but ours carries with it hope for the future. Israel's reactive policy of retribution has no long term goals.

People on this Earth suffer and die regardless of what we do"

Like Johnson and Berg getting their heads cut off?

Or Guillermo Sobero. I'm sure this is your way of saying that Americans are beheaded because of our foriegn policy. 'If only America didn't....' then there would be peace in the world, but alas, we do, and so honest men are made into terrorists. It's all America's fault.

Good luck on that one. The road to appeasement is broad, and paved with good intentions. May the crocodile eat you last.

What would you suggest we blow up? Where, specifically?

We have special ops guys every day risking their lives behind the scenes, which is where the real action generally is in this war.

They are killing the bad guys and doing things we will never hear about, unless Congress gets wind of it and demands hearings.

These terrorists don't have a home base in just one place we can blow up. It's going to take time. Be patient. It will take years. Conserve your enemy for that which you can do something about. Which is re-electing the man who will treat terrorism as a war, vs. Kerry who will treat it like a law enforcement problem.

Kerry's way means that we will necessarily have to wait until we are attacked to go after the terrorists. Problem is, by then the terrorists are generally dead because they've died in the suicide attack.

We tried the law enforcement method for 8 years under Clinton. It didn't work and the terrorists got stronger and more bold.

Now we're trying war and covert action. It's working so far in terms of keeping those in this country safe in our homeland.

I would love to see us develop alternate sources and places of and for fuel and tell the Saudis just that.

Until then, some of them work with us and are good guys. Some of them work against us behind our backs. And some of them work against us openly.

We need oil. Until we have other sources/methods, we have to deal with what we have.

(Not addressing you, specifically, McGruff because I know you understand the realities of it all).

Oh yeah....I think we need to do something....anything rather than sitting around discussing it and saying things like...."We are going to get those jihadists".....or "The US will not tolerate this kind of thing".

There's no negotiating with terrorists....

"Was Clinton wrong to bomb the Serbs? "
YES

"Didn't Milosovic do onto them before they did onto him???"
NO. Soon after Tito died, the moo-slums started killing their Christian Serb neighbors that they previously lived side-by-side with in peace.

Milosovic finally had enough of the moo-slum's attempt at genocide that he acted to save the remaining Serbs in moo-slum 'territory'. He just happened to have an army and the moo-slum terrorists didn't.

As far as Kosovo being moo-slum land, that's baloney. The Serbs have lived there over 300 years. And Klintoon backing the moo-slum KLA terrorists is akin to the say the Sioux, Apaches & Kiowa wanting their land back and China arming them and backing their fight for Independence from the USA - and with China furnishing the bombers.

The Serbs knew how to fight terrorists - you kill em all.

Well...it's like this. The House of Saud has come to the dinner party, at our invitation, but they are late, dinner has been served, the plates have been cleared- NOW they shout they're hungry- and they fear they'll starve. Let 'em.

What would you suggest we blow up? Where, specifically? <--I would start with the meteorite in the freaking black box. I would blow up their god. That is what they worship. That think is like that damned monolith at the start of 2001 A Space Odyssee, the black rock shows up and makes the monkeys go batshit.

Don't blame it in Islam, there is a whole world of Muslim people who are completely against all this hatred and disgusting acts of terrorism

Sorry, NeoDVD, but only an idiot could believe this after the unfolding months. The actions of Muslims speak louder than their words.

Yes, there's a whole world of Muslims out there and damned few who utter a word in protest, regarding these barbaric acts. When I see followers of Islam rise up and go after these animals, then I may change my mind about the 'religion of peace' as a whole. Until then, I consider every last one of them an enemy to America and myself.
