Ashcroft to announce shortly about Somali's plan targeting mall in Ohio.
The lack of security at soft target places is a concern for me too. I visited 8 different high schools at the end of May and was amazed that I was able to enter and walk through each school virtually unquestioned. I did see uniformed police officers at some of the schools but as of yesterday our police chief, in Columbus, drastically cut the funding for officers in schools. All of us must remain diligent. I truly believe that our country needs us ‘ordinary citizens’ now more than ever, but I fear it will take a tragic event somewhere in flyover country to open most folks eyes.

When a few thousand of your friends go up in Islamic smoke, you can think of it as a small price to pay for multiculturalism, open borders, and cheap labor. Bush is not doiog the job; if he were, he would have taken control of our borders almost three years ago. Yes, I know, Kerry will be just as bad, or perhaps worse.
I have to conclude that the American political class loves multiculturalism and cheap labor more than they love their own children.

Scary as heck isn’t it? Columbus is the 15th largest city. We rank 2nd in Somalia immigrants with over 30,000+ and many others from Pakistan, Eritrea, Ethiopia, etc. Folks blend in here very easy. I imagine that it’s very eeerie knowing you lived on the same street as this guy...do you know that Iyman Faris also lived on that street (the hazmat truck driver that wanted to blow up the Brooklyn Bridge) and also, the terrorism task force took away computers from another home on that street just last week.
If it gets bad...like multiple terror attack against our "soft" targets...there will be a terrible backlash. Either the peace loving Islamics would have to immediately become involved to the point of turning over anyone who had a shred of tie to the terrorists...or they would find out why the following saying is going around out west:
American Indian: "Once my people were great and many in this land, now they are few".American Muslim: "Once my people were few in this land, now they are many"
American Cowboy to Muslim: "That's just because you haven't gotten us mad enough to play cowboys and muslims yet. You don't want to make us mad enough to do that."
If this map detailing al quaida cells is so readily available then surely these groups have already been rounded up.
No doubt they are in the U.S. But it seems hard to believe this map can be accurate.

The likely scenario is that it will not be one mall in one city but several malls (or similar targets) in cities throughout the U.S. and all at once. We saw this on 9/11. Let's hope our government can stop this - and that the liberals in this country will let them.
Then you have not been to a mall in Southern California. I can show you a few that will have you looking over your shoulder and wondering if you are going to make it to your car.

And as I'm sure you are aware, "no gun" signs in Florida have no legal weight behind them.
Like any other silly "signs" a store may post, they are best ignored.

Well since you rank 2nd in Somalian immigrants, I wonder what they have planned for those of us in Mpls. where we rank number one. (hey, we're finally on the map, I liked it better in the good old days when we were just flyover country)
They provide prayer rooms in school in St. Paul, Minnesota as well, where we will be shortly receiving more Hmong, who will have separate classrooms in school so that they may be taught in Hmong. :(

There are simply too many "soft targets" to protect them all using the police or even "professional" security services.
This is why it is so important to secure the borders. It's infinitely easier to defend the borders than defend a 100,000 soft targets. (100,000 is probably an underestimate).
Given that so many of the "enemy" have infiltrated this country, the best solution is to have as many Americans armed as possible. States without CCW should pass bills immediately, and states with CCW laws should eliminate all the "victim disarmanent" zones such as schools.
States should also encourage Americans to carry guns and to train with them. They could offer incentive programs to do, so as providing a tax credit for those that take a firearms class, or imposing a small civil fine on any American caught unarmed.
Those that expect the gov't to defend them from the terrorists are simply delusional. They cannot protect 100,000 soft targets.
As such, Americans need to learn to fend for themselves. The first step is the development of a "warrior mentality" which is nothing more than a mental commitment that you WILL defend your life, property, and Freedom (as well as that of your friends, family, and neighbors) from all threats. The subsequent step is to acquire the tools and training to do so.
Unfortunately, he statists and the moral relativists have spent the last 50 years eradicating this mentality here in America.
Is Oklahoma considered part of the heartland? Is New York considered the brain land or the wallet land?
If Somali(s) were planning to blow up a Mall in Columbus OH, then there is a VERY good chance Solami(s) were ALSO planning to blow up the LARGEST MALL in the USA, the "Mall of America" in Minneapolis.
Minneapolis also has the largest Somali population. Columbus is second...

Does Cleveland have a high muslim population? I figgured they would not attack in areas with large muslim populations and/or terrorist based mosques due to fear of retribution.

Hell, yes.
The authorities can't just "round them up." They have become citizens over the past 8-10 years. They buy homes, join the PTA's, wear suits and hold down really decent jobs. They become "pillars" in their communities. Then, when the time is right, it's like they have a chip implant and someone sets it off. Very unstable.
But Detroit, MI has one of the largest Mosque's in the Nation. They have moved into the US and built up all around them. They are not like the homeless, where you can just pick them up off of the street and deport them. They have become "like us."
No doubt they are in the U.S. But it seems hard to believe this map can be accurate.
It's not accurate. More Mosque's and cells have sprung up since this map was published. I was told there is a new Mosque in Portland, Oregon.............there is the one in Buffalo, NY where those brothers were arrested over a year ago, remember? And another new one in the northeast.
Why doesn't the media report this? It's not like they do not have this very same map. I don't know......to avoid mass panic? I have no idea why this isn't brought out in the news.

I'm pretty sure that's the map from Steven Emerson's excellent book American Jihad. It was the first book I read after 9/11 and focused almost exclusively on the sleeper cells in America. It's a book we should all read; maybe I'll get it from the library again and re-read it.
