If this map detailing al quaida cells is so readily available then surely these groups have already been rounded up.
No doubt they are in the U.S. But it seems hard to believe this map can be accurate.
The authorities can't just "round them up." They have become citizens over the past 8-10 years. They buy homes, join the PTA's, wear suits and hold down really decent jobs. They become "pillars" in their communities. Then, when the time is right, it's like they have a chip implant and someone sets it off. Very unstable.
But Detroit, MI has one of the largest Mosque's in the Nation. They have moved into the US and built up all around them. They are not like the homeless, where you can just pick them up off of the street and deport them. They have become "like us."

It's not accurate. More Mosque's and cells have sprung up since this map was published. I was told there is a new Mosque in Portland, Oregon.............there is the one in Buffalo, NY where those brothers were arrested over a year ago, remember? And another new one in the northeast.
Why doesn't the media report this? It's not like they do not have this very same map. I don't know......to avoid mass panic? I have no idea why this isn't brought out in the news.

I'm pretty sure that's the map from Steven Emerson's excellent book American Jihad. It was the first book I read after 9/11 and focused almost exclusively on the sleeper cells in America. It's a book we should all read; maybe I'll get it from the library again and re-read it.
