Row over Kidman's film romp with youngster

Row over Kidman's film romp with youngster 10:31 BST, Sunday 13th June 2004 -- by Neil Wilkes Nicole Kidman has been caught up in a row over a new film which features her kissing a ten-year-old boy while naked.

In the movie, called Birth, Kidman plays a widow who believes the boy to be a reincarnation of her husband.

Two scenes in particular have come under fire; in both, Kidman and the boy - Canadian child actor Cameron Bright - are "completely naked and caressing each other." In one of them, there is a close-up of " a very passionate kiss" as they sit in the bathtub together.

"The last thing on earth Nicole needs is a movie which is going to be jumped on by sickos and used in some perverse way to promote paedophilia," a source told the Daily Star Sunday today. "But truth is, the publicity department is already describing the movie as a nightmare. The producers, director and Nicole herself are likely to face a lot of flack."

It will cost film studo New Line around $50 million if they decide to axe the movie altoegther.

If they release this movie, they should be indicted on pedophilia charges.

I stand in profound agreement

Are you trying to say that Nicole is, shall we say, more comfortable in the company of her "sisters."

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Where and when did you hear that Kidman was a "rainbow girl?" I am not questioning the data, I merely curious as to when/where this information came to light since this is new to me. This due in large part to the fact that I do not much, if any, attention to the lives of Hollweird folks.

Oh, my God, please tell me lesbians aren't called "rainbow girls." I was a member of the Order of the Rainbow for Girls growing up, and that would really make my heart hurt.

Not sure where I heard it . . . but it's been out there since they married.

A few years ago there was film called "Tadpole" where a dissolute but still sexy Bebe Neuwith made out with the 15 year son of her best friend.

The actor who played the son was 21 and looked it. So the film was not that bad, more shocking was that Bebe did it with her best friend's son.

There was no phony hypocritical bull...from the films producer that assorted weirdos may misuse the movie

As usual, Hollywood makes me puke. I hope the producers lose BIG BUCKS on this trash.

Indeed, I hope they aren't called "Rainbow Girls." I was also a member of the Order of Rainbow for Girls growing up.

I'd only known Neuwirth as Lilith on "Cheers." I had no idea she was so hot!

Oh, very sorry. Since you were a member of the real Rainbow Girls, I apologise for the use of the term in an alternate meaning. How do you feel about the term "special sisters?"

To be honest, I did not that Tom had been married prior to Nicole. In reference to a prior post (re: "mutual"), were you stating that they were "masters of their domain" with one another? Or have I misread the meaning of your statement. BTW, what would we do without references to Seinfeld? :-)

Are these people idiots. Have they no sense of morals at all? Good grief. If the reports are true, there should be jail time over this.
