It's hard to watch but I respect President Reagan and I wanted to say goodbye. I have watched all of since he passed away. He was a dear man just like mine was.

Yes, there are friends for awhile, but a strange, surprising phenomena happens, I found, also others say so,
after a time, the friends become afraid of what to say to you in conversation, they are afraid to make you cry, essentially, so they back off for awhile. They become afraid to mention the husbands name, not sure whether you want to mention his name, most people ASSUME you don't dare mention his aname for fear of tears.....
Strange, yes, but common.

I think people are pouring out as much to see and honor Nancy as President Reagan. She has spent the last decade dedicated to his health and care. That too deserves honoring

No licence plate on the hearse. Anyone know why?

No license plates on any of the limos.

No license plate on the Presidential limousine.

Don't need one, I guess.

Stubborn woman, your mother-in-law. My ex-MIL is much the same even though she is a kind and lovely woman. They're diehard Democrats who need the veil lifted.

Saw Mickey Rooney earlier this week on O'Reilly and had nothing but respectful things to say. O'Reilly also talked to Doris Day via phone with the same results.

Doris had once 'chastised' the President in an interview, for sending one of their big dogs back to the ranch instead of keeping it at the White House. Not much after the article was printed, Mr. Reagan called her and told her the dog couldn't run as much as it needed to at WH, and had many dog friends to play with at the ranch. Doris was happy to hear it.

Rush told a great story this week of how Mrs. Thatcher would remind President Reagan that all of our FOUNDING FATHERS came from BRITAIN!!!!

"she looked kind of young."

Dear, I would look kind of young next to Mickey Rooney.

There we go again.

Cinton, Clinton. Clinton.

Everybody knows they were sleeping, or at least pretending to. There are threads to bash the devils. Please, go there and leave this clear of mention of them.

Thanks in advance.

I just have to say that I am so glad for FReepers or I would feel like I was the only person who cared that Reagan had passed on.

I had some idiot at work tell me today that Dubya should go skydiving with his dad tomorrow and hopefully the chute won't open.

This while I am standing there in my Reagan Red shirt, black skirt and a black ribbon with my RNC pin keeping it in place.

May God have mercy on our country and may He bless and keep the soul of President Reagan.

I am so gratified that the American people have chosen to remember Reagan this way.

Nancy must be gratified, at long last.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

That always reminds me of the campaign plane shots in 2000 - W and Laura with a rainbow over their heads, and the gores with storm clouds.

Just said on C-SPAN it would be a 45 minute trip. I'm glad. It's his last ride. When my best friend died, I was broken hearted because he loved cars so much, at one time had 7 model A Fords that he all restored himself, but it was only 2 blocks from the church to the cemetary. I have always wished he could have had a longer last ride.

The American People have shown the old media how much THEY are out of touch w/the soul of this country and the values we hold dear. No nuances or PC

Very true. I've had a tv on in the background, but most of what I watched, heard, screencapped, etc., all came over the Internet. [That tv in the background was on mute most of the time, too.]
