Just said on C-SPAN it would be a 45 minute trip. I'm glad. It's his last ride. When my best friend died, I was broken hearted because he loved cars so much, at one time had 7 model A Fords that he all restored himself, but it was only 2 blocks from the church to the cemetary. I have always wished he could have had a longer last ride.
When my husband died - he'd been a race car driver and always had every one of our personal cars pinstriped - my son & I decided to have his casket pinstriped and a huge fleur-de-lis painted on the top. The funeral director was speechless but went along with it. We also brought our own music (Al made me promise to play certain songs at his funeral).
