From the SF Examiner, April 30, 1983; his sense of humor and kindness.
And now they are aged, crippled, confused and some so far gone from reality that sometimes they don't recognize their children when they come to visit.
Please tell your parents you love them today, if you are still lucky to have them with you.
I read last night that she was at the Reagan Library yesterday morning during the ceremony before the public came through.
I was watching some footage of Maureen Reagan that Fox was showing yesterday, and was suddenly struck with just how much she looked like Jane Wyman. I knew she was her daughter, but I'd never realized just how much she had LOOKED like her!
I heard on the radio this afternoon, that President Bush had given the order that the plane carrying Reagan's body to DC was to be called Air Force One during the flight. What a great gesture.
I'm so glad she was able to attend, despite her poor health. I'm sure she would have been heartbroken to have missed it.
In pictures, she and Reagan seem to be having such a grand time together!
Damn that was all it took to get the water flowing. I think I have something in my eye.
Just the thought tears me up. If you ever see a video of that (I looked, couldn't find), would you *please* ping me to the link?
Thanks.
When a Brit shows class, no one does it better.

Hi Doc......nice to hear from you!
Haven't bought anything from France for a long time.
Chiraq's (correct spelling) insult coming after his grand words on D-Day has confirmed that nothing has changed.
I really had hoped that the renewed memory of all America had done to liberate them would make a difference.
DoughtyOne, the patriots that I pinged above were looking for a DVD of the Presidents funeral and events. I hope you don't mind that I pinged them.
Here is the thread where they made their request.

Folks here's the a possible DVD for you.
Would somebody be kind enought to let me know how this works out ?
Thank you.
I looked for Michael during the ceremony and didn't see him, but it was another touching moment afterwards when he touched the casket, then saluted.
She taped her tribute in Feb. of this year.
She is still magnificent: both as a private person and a politcal figure.
What a fantastic picture! Thanks
You know who Mitchell is married to?
"word is that she can no longer speak - the taped eulogy for Reagan is something she made years ago."
She can speak just fine. She taped the eulogy in February. However, given her stroke and frail health, her doctors believe that public speaking has become too much of a strain; thus she announced last year that she would not be making public speeches any more.
A great leader and a very classy lady. Were an American woman to come on the political scene like Lady Thatcher, I'd vote for her in a second.
The very best to you and yours.

Tommie
she is truely a noble lady. Just like Ronald Reagan, both knew what a public servant was.
Thank you.
