OPEN LETTER TO AMERICAN FEMINISTS
my angry self | 04 June 2004 | me

Posted on 06/04/2004 12:43:30 PM PDT by cyborg

Dear American Feminists,

I am a thirty year old woman living in the United States and have been studying what is known as 'the women's movement'. I've read some of your books especially those written by Gloria Steinem and other famous women's rights advocates. Reading these books I hoped to gain some insight into the movement that my fellow conservatives railed against. I sought to find out why Rush Limbaugh takes such obvious delight in calling all of you feminazis.

I disagreed with the goals of the feminists such as abortion rights, putting career ahead of family and so on. I thought it would be easy for me to go on with my life and allow you to go promoting feminist causes. After all, this is America and I don't spend my time telling other people how to behave and what to think. However, I did not realize the impact that the feminist movement had in the lives of men and women in this country till I started dating (if it can be called such).

I hope you are happy with yourselves. You've made it possible for more girls to enter spinsterhood than ever before all the while going psychotic and starving ourselves to death into an early grave besides. The biblical verse (I know you hate christianity but please excuse me) that states 'what does it profit a man if he gains the world and loses his soul' comes to mind. What does it matter if I'm rich with a great career, my own car, a healthy 'sex life' and nice clothes if I'm alone when I'm eighty rocking myself to sleep in a dirty nursing home all alone with no grandchildren? Perhaps you don't care that many men cringe at the idea of getting married because you don't care for the institution of getting married yourselves. Perhaps not having children doesn't bother you because you're too busy advocating the murder of children in the womb.

You talk about us women embracing our 'real bodies' and 'our fat womyn' BUT what do you feminists fill your magazines with? It's not 'real womyn' that is for sure. You peddle independent womanhood in the form of acting like a slut, dressing like a slut and having women portrayed as black widows. You champion little girls wearing g-strings and playing rainbow braclet gamwes while condemning girls who save themselves for marriage, or girls who are celibate and dress modestly as 'old fashioned' and 'out of touch'.

My thirtieth birthday came and went, and so far I've learned that many men don't respect women. A married man will go over land sea and tell all kinds of lies to get sex from a girl. I've also learned that trying to attract the attentions of man already burned once by a 'independent woman' is a fruitless effort and these men don't go through half the trouble single men or married men do to use a girl sexually. They do no think we women are worth it. I wonder how many girls will learn about your lies the hard way? How many girls will have a mother like mine to listen to the whining and frustration then only to say, 'see? You need to church and get right with God.' not mothers who are interested in being their best buddies and further encourage promiscuity.

Many young men don't even want to get married but instead wait for those women willing to have casual sex with them. You taught these girls that having unattached sex is the mark of a proud, independent woman like Sex in the City for instance. You trash Jessica Simpson for being a brainless idiot but we BOTH know why you really trash her and don't trash Britney Spears. Frustrated fathers raise sons and tell them never to get married. What are girls like me supposed to do? Or is my choice to want to be a wife and mother not as vaunted as having abortions or group sex on MTV? Bring up marriage and children to a single man these days, and a girl will find herself all alone on a Saturday night. So what's a girl to do? Don't bother answering feminists. American culture has had enough of your answers. Your well intentioned moral boondoggles have hurt women more than you will ever realize. Let's hope you don't spread your false gospel elsewhere.

Thank you for your time.

Advice from the quiet porch of a late-middle-aged man: don't over emphasize sex; if you ate peaches every day, eventually the sight of a peach would be unsettling to your digestion. Sex is a God-given gift for a man and woman who love each other and want to face the future of 'family'. Sex bonds two people together through physical and emotional vulnerability and fulfillment. Sex is not a sport or a health workout and should be given the time and care any cherished activity is afforded. Companionship and trust are the two most important aspects of the union between man and woman ... she needs it for free expression and nest building and he is more fulfilled if he exercises the fidelity to submit to her need and then enjoy the warmth of her nest.

Yup it was watching her carefully cut them while he took his nap :) I guess the true abuse was watching her cook his breakfast and having me make his morning coffee.

I was born in New York and lived in Brooklyn as a child.
New York is far more prejudice, and features bolder criminals as well.
I have fond memories of a large knife at my neck as a child when buglers robbed the home. My pillow was lifted with my head on it to look for loose change I guess.
Then there are those nuns in private school. I had Sister Mary Abusive who was (I believe) the leader of a renegade chopper club on the side.

Oh yes, I know NY.

New York was the first to have great pizza, big soft pretzels, jaw breakers and Italian Ices, but that was about it.

Oh, I was also FORCED to learn the accordion (a Catholic must), and I had a neighbor who jumped off the Brooklyn bridge.

I also have Sicilian relatives back there I don't talk to who all run the various teamster's unions and are the real Sapranos, so I have NO DOUBT about New York.

The people also talk fast, don't listen, are loud and are rude!

That is my brief summary of NY!

thanks...seems like a lot of marriages get off the track from sex issues (if it isn't about money).

True story, I was in a pizza place in Los Angeles last week on the way in to where I was going.
I was sitting at a table with a friend eating.
There was a female waiting for take out pizza in a chair in the lobby.

Guess what her blouse said?

"I like cheap sex!"

AMAZING!!!!

Whew, at least someone else has noticed it too! :-)

BTW, I consider myself a supporter of classical feminism. The feminazis have given feminism a very bad name.

The movements of the elites, that originated in the 1960s, have all had a profound effect on America because the proponents were not shy about telling other people how to behave and what to think. (BTW not all of these movements were detrimental - remember "Keep America Beautiful"?). It's time we all overcame the fiction that one should always withhold judgement about others' actions. Judging and moralizing is what people do, period. After we've accepted that, we need to convince more people in the right and middle that some of those created mores were just wrong-headed. Like the feministas' prescriptions for women.

Very comprehensive.

Here it goes:

-mugged once outside of my high school,

-some family that's mobbed up, but so far removed from them that I don't even know half of their names,

-never went to Catholic school, not even sure if I took communion, though seriously doubt it,

-never knew anyone who jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge, though I have associated with several people with severe psychoses,

let's see, is there anything else?

I don't think so.

Well the Mexicans of Mexico were the native indians of Mexico that were raped by the Spanish.

The original indians are very unattractive compared to the ones who have the Spanish mixed in.

I have seen some of the most gorgeous Mexican women, but you have to check out their mothers if you are marriage minded.
It is not uncommon for Mexicans to be slim early and to then get married, gain the weight and to decide to keep it.

I don't find a woman with the figure of a beer can to be that attractive to me. Especially if there is a refusal to eat normally.

To this day, Mexico is about 1/3rd Mexicans and 2/3rds indians who are practically slaves in Mexico. It's not all good down south. In general though, most Mexicans are very family oriented Catholic Christians with family values.
Thank God France isn't geographically below us!!!!

good post... I think that's our (conservatives) problem in that we're not loud like the liberals. Just this time I couldn't take it and had to say something *lol*
