Bush can set this whole chain in motion by what he does next. Tenet has given him his dream shot.

(Rubbing hands together)...

Excellent.

I'd never desire to sit across the table from the President in a high stakes game of Texas hold 'em.

What WAS new was the revelation that Pres. Bush requires the services of a personal lawyer in the Valerie Pflame/Wilson/Niger affair.

Except that was NOT the news.

The report certainly was not that President Bush *requires* the services of a personal lawyer. The news was he consulted a lawyer and will retain him at a future date if need be. That could mean many things, and you can bet your boots GWB has not done wrong, and it is more likely in prep of the odious Wilsons preparing to sue him.

We all know what a good friend you're been to dear Frank all these years, don't we?

What the hell does that mean?

Frank Keating was a good governor Oklahoma, and a strong leader of the Lay Review Board established by the Catholic Bishops.

If you have something to say, say it. Stop hiding behind innuendo.

I was going to say four, but three is okay. Three years too late.

I am aware of the timeline. I am not the one who said he saw the attorney yesterday. I quoted someone else's comment. I stick with my prediction that this has to do with the leak to Bob Novak.

Good grief. Just when I think I can get away from the news for a day to tend to "life" something comes up.

Trying to catch up here but I think you're right. I don't look for Tenet to be trouble.

How about Joe Degenova?

Probably spelled wrong.

Perhaps you don't recall the huge "leak" problems during previous presidential administrations.

Those have been remarkably few during the past 3 years. The Old Mediots have even complained about how closed and secretive this administration is. Surely you've seen that criticism? (If not - go look at DU again... you'll find those.)

I'm not at all sure that, post-9/11, Rudy wants to be one of 100 in the Senate. The WH-- absolutely he wants it.

I can't imagine that there are going to be two high-profile exits in June or July. The public knock on Cheney is that he's too secretive (in a bad way) and that he used the CIA for political purposes. Moving him to CIA doesn't get you any benefit politically. Moving him to SCOTUS or State would be a different thing altogether.

Im still amazed by that pre-cooked microwavable Bacon.

Its seems you are getting cheated because its very light at a few ounces, but bacon doesnt weigh much cooked. And there is no grease to discard.

On topic, I look forward to Tenets statement to have a better idea of where his loyalty is.

Great ideas. Hope the Bushies are thinking the same way.

Brian Wilson on FoxNews speculates that Chalabi had something to do with Tenet's departure. Brian said he wasn't quite sure what it might be, but the Chalabi situation could be the cause.

Brian Wilson on FOX said his reporter antennae makes him think this has something to do with Chalabi.

America is not a fascist state, but you would have no idea what one is anyway, so you'd best quit using the term.

You want someone in there who can boost Bush on the issue of intelligence gathering. You want someone who is media savvy and articulate. If Bush asks, Rudy will not say "no."

The point wasn't to quibble over retaining/consulting, etc.

It was that it was on Tenet's watch that this "Wilson goes to Niger" fiasco got started.

In fact, too much bad news out of the CIA happened on Tenet's watch.

That's a sensible choice, but Bush should be bolder.

The leaking of our breaking the Iranian codes.....lead to this resignation.
