BRUSHFIRE ALERT: "Screw Pizza Hut"
******************** "Screw Pizza Hut" June 1, 2004
Ronald B. Honeycutt, 38, who has a permit to carry a concealed weapon, says he's been delivering pizzas for 20 years and has always packed heat on the job, reports WorldNetDaily.com (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=38726) today. At around 11 p.m. on May 17th, just after he had made a delivery in a high-crime neighborhood in Indianapolis, a dirtball confronted Honeycutt with a loaded 9 mm handgun. At that point, Honeycutt pulled out his own 9 mm from the back of his pants and fired 15 times, hitting the would-be robber at least 10 times, killing him.
Sounds like pretty good gun control to us. And dare we say, an awfully effective deterrent.
Anyway, Honeycutt went back to his Pizza Hut store and called the cops. The cops have since determined that Honeycutt acted in self-defense and will not face criminal charges. Nevertheless
Pizza Hut fired him.
For violating a company policy against carrying firearms.
BRUSHFIRE ALERT: Now, lets be honest here. Pizza Hut, as a private business, has the right to make such a rule and enforce it.
On the other hand, WE have the right to voice our objections to such a stupid rule and refuse to do business with them unless and until they change it.
And if youd like to voice YOUR opinion about how Mr. Honeycutt was treated, you can call the Pizza Hut corporate office at 1-972-7700 or give them a pizza your mind by emailing them through their website at http://www.pizzahut.com/contact/feedback_other.asp
You can also quickly and easily locate the Pizza Hut franchise store near you - along with their phone number - by going to: http://www.pizzahut.com/locator/.
I just called the store in my neighborhood and spoke with the manager. I explained that my family would no longer be dining in her restaurant and why. The womans response was, You should call the corporate office. That incident in Indiana has nothing to do with us. To which I responded, Well, it does now. Cause you just lost a customer over it. Maybe YOU should call the corporate office.
Something tells me she will...

In my view, Pizza's don't get worse than Pizza Hut...Now, I have two reasons not to darken the door of their establishments...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understood a clip to be internal, a magazine to be external...
True perhaps, for some...
I found that being threatened with the possibility of my own death ----- focused my attention like a laser!
When the other bastards are shooting at you, that is NO time to get distracted!

SUPPORT GODFATHER'S PIZZA AND SUPPORT HERMAN CAIN FOR THE US SENATE (GEORGIA).
Me too.
But some people ain't built that way.
Notice how some people's reaction to losing traction while doing 70 in a car is to slam on the brakes and close their eyes.
Well, now that I think about it. He was protecting the companies profits. He probably had cash on him from delivering that pizza!
LOL
Well, I guess Pizza Hutt would've been to court no matter what, if you put it like that. Because if that was my son, my brother, my husband, or my father; I know D*mn well, I'd sue the pepperoni right out of Pizza Hutt' Corporation for liability, because they could send out two drivers in "high-crime" districts!
Godfather's.
If I had one around, I would eat there.
Probably the reason why I like Pizza Hut is that it is my only option except for local shops that aren't very good.
Please don't remind me..........the only thing I miss about not living in Brooklyn is food.
Every once in a while I will wake up about 5:30 on a Sunday morning and smell the bagels coming out of the oven as I was buying them and the papers to bring home after a night of drinking and dancing.
If my dad found fresh bagels and the sunday papers on the table he didn't start cooking himself fried eggs......LOL
And all of that was more than 20 years ago!
All I got is Pizza Hut unless I am in Wichita....there are tons of places there I am sure.
But locally, it is just Pizza Hut.
I don't think we have East of Chicago. In bigger cities we have Godfather's, Domino's, Papa John's etc.
I agree. Pizza Hut sucks. I've been avoiding it since 1978.
Our local pizza parlors are much better than Pizza Hut.
Well, it might help if you tell them that you're willing to pay $25-30 a pizza to cover the liability premiums you would demand them to pay...
haha you too huh? When I moved out of NYC some 10 years ago, I had a pizza in California and was like "What the heck is THIS MESS?" Gosh I miss those slices I used to get on 8th street in that pizzeria there. One slice was enough to fill you up for a week lol
I never liked Pizza Hut anyway, this is an easy boycott.
Even Pillsbury pizza dough and your own ingredients is an improvement over PH.......
Heck the store brand frozen Pizza from your nearest supermarket is better.
Hate to tell you - but you don't know anything about good pizza, especially massed produced pizza. Store brand frozen is far superior to PH.
