"I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat"
KHOBAR, Saudi Arabia - Tens of American, European and other hostages were released Sunday and a gunman believed to be the lead Islamic militant holding them was arrested, a Saudi security official said, adding that two other gunmen were "in the process of being arrested."

Hiroshima was actually about 14.7 KT. One of my co-workers was the first person to physically visit Hiroshima to calculate the yield. His study included the melting patterns of the electric insulators on the power poles. Search for Gritzner and Hiroshima. Mike Gritzner did some pretty amazing work.

Clinton sided with the KLA (Muslims) in Kosovo against the Christian Serbs. The KLA (Muslims) worked with the Nazis in WWII. The Serbs worked with the Allies. Is there any question about which side Clinton prefers?
I am friggin' pissed that this Muslim convert even gets a darn appeal! I want MY first amendment rights honored, too. In respect to MY Christian/Judeo religious beliefs, I want images of the Ten Commandments and Jesus put on MY driver's license. Hmmmppfff.

Muslim woman appeals state ban of veil on drivers-license photo
Associated Press
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - A state appeals court heard arguments Wednesday in the case of a Muslim woman who wants to wear a veil in her driver's license photo so as not to violate her religious beliefs.
Sultaana Freemen of Winter Park lost her civil lawsuit a year ago when Circuit Judge Janet C. Thorpe agreed with authorities that letting people conceal their faces on a driver's license was a terrorist risk.
The state "has a compelling interest in protecting the public from criminal activities and security threats," and that photo identification "is essential to promote that interest," the trial judge said.
The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles originally issued Freeman a license with her wearing a veil in 2001, but later suspended it.
Freemen claims the suspension was an infringement upon her First Amendment rights.
Wednesday, Judge Richard Orfinger of the Fifth District Court of Appeal appeared to wonder that, too.
"I think the real question for me is, `Does the state have the authority to require one to reveal one's facial features despite a legitimately and sincerely held religious belief?'" he said.
But he also asked the other side of the question: "... How does the requirement of a photograph cause a substantial burden on her exercise of religion?"
Freeman's attorney, Howard Marks, argued that his client should not be punished for wanting to practice her religion.
Assistant Attorney General Jay Vail argued, "freedom has to give way to public safety."
In response to questions by the judges, Vail said the state is not opposed to having female state employees take Freeman's picture or having female officers respond to potential traffic stops to accommodate her beliefs.
The appellate court may take months to issue an opinion.
Last July, Gov. Jeb Bush signed legislation requiring that driver's licenses must include a picture of the driver's full face.
LOL, ooops, yes....UPwind.
"the depth of the historical (partly mythical?) past of the Arab nations and their neverending aspiration to go back in time. Even the jihadi "speech patterns" in their threats with references to swords and horses, etc. is all of a Saladin era theme. An ancient culture that chooses to live in their own cave of darkness. The good old days, I suppose"
The "good old days" never ended as far as they are concerned. They see the post World War I western colonial intervention into the region after the fall of the Ottomans and the creation of Israel in the 20th century as the vanguard of the assault of the "Jews and Crusaders". They want to convert the region to the view that the 21st century is going "back to the future", and it is the beginning of another centuries-long clash of civilizations. If we give them what they want, we will condemn the planet to a century of apocalypse. It will be Saladin with neutron bombs and genetic weapons.
The West for the past century empowered autocracies to suppress the fanatics, and then the fanatics came to punish the perceived paymasters of their tormentors. A choice between tyrants and terrorists is no choice at all, and whoever wins - - we lose. That is why for civilization to survive the prospect of a global jihad waged with WMD, it has to intervene and break the cycle of oppression and fanaticism by "draining the swamp" and introducing freedom to a region where it never existed - - "nation building" on steroids.
Liberating the region from both the tyrants and terrorists is not a misguided strategy, a laudable goal or a fanciful notion - - it is our only hope for national survival. If we fail in this endeavor, as President Bush said when asked by Bob Woodward about the judgment of history on his presidency:
"It won't matter - - because we'll all be dead"

Actually, I know several people driving around with licenses they received without giving their SS# or their fingerprint, based on their religion (Christianity) But that's really a whole other thread. : >)
I'm actually familiar with that site. I wasn't too thrilled with the FEMA Target Map link there.
And yet, the Palestinian arguements that justifies (in their mind) that it is ok to kill Israelis is they are killing soldiers. Cause in Israel, all are required to serve.
Yet they raise their own children with guns and encourage jihad. But that doesn't make them soldiers.
The OCD of the culture makes my head hurt.
Thank you Jill!
Anything that unduly alarms or id hyped or not credible, to me is cruel to TM'rs because we're scared enough with the facts Jack -g-
