I was just now thinking and 150kt is about seven times as powerful as the Hiroshima blast on August 6th 1945.Hiroshima was actually about 14.7 KT. One of my co-workers was the first person to physically visit Hiroshima to calculate the yield. His study included the melting patterns of the electric insulators on the power poles. Search for Gritzner and Hiroshima. Mike Gritzner did some pretty amazing work.

Hey, what's a few KT between friends? I was told that it was 20KT at the nuclear, biological and chemical warfare school I went to while an army officer in 1982. I doubt that any of the folks incinerated that day knew the difference. I doubt anybody incinerated (GOD forbid) this summer will know either. But if it does happen here, I think we should make a demonstration between a kiloton and a megaton very real. We should target Mecca.
