"if somebody says they have info but won't post it, then why say thyey have info?? You take up for them only because you know them from outside. You wouldn't have taken up for someone else doing something this egotistical.
Then you go ping and tattle to the moderator."
Think you have it all figured out don't you Indie? Well I know SP on the outside. I know her because she has been here on this thread from the beginning. I know her by what she has done here and how she has proven herself. And because of that Indie I know she is not a teaser or a hit and run poster. I know that she was struggling with this...Not because she told me(She has not talked to me), but because I have paid attention to who she is...and the rest is just self explanitary if you care to have a heart and take off your narrow vision glasses. I honestly believe that had people treated SP with respect and realized what kind of good and hard working person she is...and how much stress she is under reading the forums and translating them so that you might wake up tommorow morning...anyone who might have cared to see that...Probably would have heard from her and found the answer they were looking for. Just keep all that in mind when you see fit to trash her...OK!

You won't need to understand that post, just relax and allow the next lines to go into your subconscious, and laugh.
The next time you see a 'peace protester' holding the round peace sign, look and you will see the sign of a chicken's foot as it is left in the dirt.........
Imagine a commie protester walking around with a sign that to any farmer, means "Chicken".
And where a chicken walks, there is that lovely chicken manure.
Cindy says that the peace sign upside down is also known as the chicken sign.
Relax now: It is firmly in the subconscious mind, oh well it is a shame that you can not go near a commie protester, as you are going to be cracking up with all the laughter.
Keep in mind that I am there to share the laugh with you.

Cancelling Christian Holidays is part of the Communist Manifesto, 1963 Well, rack another one up, if it's not already jotted off on that list of commie goals.

No, that was just a silly retort to Nully's post 324.

My foggy brain, recalls it a bit different, recall the 2 finger "V" sign?
One way was "Will you?"
Upside down was "I Will!"
Or so my teens told me when I mixed them up.

Just got back from Day After Tomorrow, I think you wanted me to post my thoughts here, I hope you made it through the storms ok tonight.
Not bad overall, very "out there." I loved how it opened with a Cheney look-alike VP and a Saudi Prince (I understood some of his Arabic! :D ) who believed that global change was impossible. I also enjoyed the "continually dumbfounded" president who had to keep asking his advisors what to do. Of course, they killed him off in the end!
After seeing the movie, I now *completely* believe that Al Gore has lost his mind (as if he ever had it to begin with) with his continued rants about the movie being something we all need to see in order to understand what the future holds. There was VERY LITTLE actual science involved in the movie. Some things were theoretically possible, but not at all in the way it was presented in the movie. From a story telling point of view; the directors completely butchered the original story which came from "The Coming Global Superstorm" by Art Bell. I enjoyed the book much more myself. I am a lover of weather and anything based on the subject is still of some interest, as this movie was. The movie had great special affects and some interesting ideas. I would say it was worth seeing at least once, maybe not twice.
A little politicized, but not overly apparent. I do hope that people coming out of the theater realize that what they just watched was completely fictional.
I still have trouble watching movie depictions of "mass death" events occurring in NYC, or in this case, the entire northern hemisphere. I Can't help but having flashbacks to what we saw with the emergency response on 9/11.

"Expiration in September."I'll believe it when I see it. Remember, the legislation can be tacked on as an Amendment to anything else even after the expiration (at least I think so). Just watch what happens to even the stiffest pro-gun congressional spines when a terrorist shoots up a mall in New Jersey, Boston or some other place where there are no carry permits.
Of course the exact reverse could also happen. Terrorists might cut loose someplace where a RTC permit system is in place and a fair number of folks actually exercise the right. A terrorist group gets cut to pieces in such a manner by a lawfully armed citizen and say adios to all the gun laws! Schumer and company are aware of this possibility as well, thus they are frantically trying to push multiple gun laws before this can come to pass.

"Can you also give a yell out to StillProud and demand that she come back here for us? :)"
I don't think we can demand any such thing. And we would have no need if people had not become so hostile to her...and others just blowing it all off like it was nothing. Someone who is going so far as to lie about it and yet gets a pass in the name of peace. Maybe we should all just make peace signs to the Terrorists. Yah...Why not. If SP did something nasty or atroshious then I would jump on her too. She did not. Don't worry about me going on and on. I am running out of ways to say it. People don't comprehend...I feel like I am talking to myself. I will leave you to your peace.

I don't know what was posted by SP, because it was deleted before I saw it...BUT...and I am only speculating here...she may have been trying to give a heads up to the Freepers here and maybe trying to see if anyone knew anything about what she posted.
On the other hand, if the wording was such in her post that she implied that she knew something, but was only giving part of it, then she was wrong to post a tease here. She could have posted it on the website she normally does.
She dedicates hours to the War on Terror, just as I do. To ridicule, chastise, or jump the gun on her before asking her to clarify, in my opinion is just wrong.
Now, on the other hand TM Freepers, please don't go where other boards have gone....intimidating others is tasteless. time consuming. and actually a waste of time period.
My main draw to FR was the intelligence that is displayed, and the versatility of the intelligence gathering. I was also drawn as this was a no nonsense board.
Everyone gets tired, everyone makes mistakes. I may not agree with SP's opinion or her analysis all of the time, but I do know that her dedication is as relentless as mine. If anyone had any questions about what she posted, a PM asking her to clarify would have been the way to go..IMHO
Don't you think that our lives and time are too precious to continue this further? I think that all of the threats and the unanswered questions are taking their toll on everyone...if we let that happen, then the psychological terrorism that the Jihadi's do so well, is getting to us...I for one, am not giving in. We just have to get past this, and chalk up SP's post (like I said, I have no idea what exactly was posted) to a bad judgment call, and let it go.
There is to much compassion toward the fellow Freepers to continue arguing....please move past this!

Remember, the legislation can be tacked on as an Amendment to anything else even after the expiration (at least I think so).True, just as they tack on all kinds of pork to legislation. But, once it has expired they couldn't tack on a renewal. They would be starting from scratch again. But, it wouldn't be the first time they tried to hide something in a bill. I just don't think they could sneak it through, too many folks watching for AWB issues.
Now, as far as Schumer goes, well, he just needs to sit down and have a long talk with Henry Bowman. And that's all I have to say about that :-)

I posted the chicken sign, only for the reason that it struck me as funny.
I will never be able to look at the round peace sign again, without the thought that it means the holder of the sign is chicken.
It is usually a hippie or commie protester that will show up with one.
Remember the old round sign with what kinda looks like a Y in the middle?
Of course being of farm stock, I know that if there is a chicken foot print, there will also be manure to step in.
Now a "Freeper Sign" could have a chicken roosting in the "Y", and the words of "Anti Chicken" or Stamp out chickens.
Instead of the normal "No War or No meat" signs.
Boy that beer you are drinking must be strong, even I am getting silly.
Ok, Maybe a little Chicken story.
I got stuck with about 100 or more Polish Crested Roosters, lovely to look at, but we don't eat poultry, so they ate and did well.
Except one big prize one, he guarded the entire yard, against Bulls, me and the men.
I still have scars on my legs from that rooster, and all I wanted was to reach the goat pen and get my milking done.
One day the neighbors young son, came over and he asked if I was going to go and get the rooster out of the roll of fencing that it was trapped in.
As I was still bleeding from the morning milking, I said NO.
John asked, questions and I showed him my legs.
He asked if he could have it and I gave it to him.
That rooster lived for years and for John was as tame as a parrot, I have seen it wait on the porch for John, hop on his shoulder and stay there. True LOVE.
But, I have also seen him jump in the middle of men's backs and attack, none of us ever turned our backs on him.
Love and hugs,
