The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic invites all FReepers and lurkers in good standing to join us in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, June 5, 2004 as we stand up for America against the communist front group International A.N.S.W.E.R. and their new poster boy, Michael Berg.
A.N.S.W.E.R. will be holding a so-called antiwar rally and march on June 5. The rally begins at noon at Lafayette Park in front of the White House. The march is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. The commies will proceed north up 14th Street then turn west on U Street and Florida Avenue then turn north on Connecticut Avenue, ending at Kalorama Road, N.W., where they will kow-tow to the ChiCom embassy before heading a few blocks west on Kalorama to meet the D.C. Chapter at Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld's home.
We are asking people who support our troops and their mission in Iraq and elsewhere fighting the war on terrorists to join us in a peaceful demonstration in support of them and Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld.
The D.C. Chapter has made two successful stands there recently against small groups of the anti-American left, establishing our bona fides with the law enforcement regulars on the scene as peaceful and law-abiding.
This time, however, the left will be bringing thousands of fellow travelers to the scene. While we know we won't match them in numbers, with your help we can beat them with the truth.
Michael Berg, the father of Nick Berg will be there front and center as A.N.S.W.E.R.'s prized propaganda tool. Nick Berg was the young American who was kidnapped and gruesomely beheaded by terrorists in Iraq.
Some on FR have said we should avoid criticizing Michael Berg that day. I strongly disagree. Mr. Berg has capitalized on his son's murder to further his anti-American agenda and has given aid and comfort to the enemy by placing the killers of his son in higher regard than President Bush, whom he blames for his son's death.
Further, Mr. Berg has chosen to stand with those who support the killers of his son. Since May, 2003, A.N.S.W.E.R. has had the following statement on their website, "The anti-war movement here and around the world must give its unconditional support to the Iraqi anti-colonial resistance."
Mr. Berg has been a proud supporter of A.N.S.W.E.R., signing his name to their petitions against America's liberation of Iraq and in support of Fidel Castro. He recently released a statement that has been published around the world condemning President Bush while singing the praises of his son's murderers.
Mr. Berg has stepped into the political arena and is viciously swinging his rhetorical machete at the heads of President Bush, Secretary Rumsfeld and our troops in the field. Mr. Berg will be standing with the enemy on June 5. We will stand against him and those he marches with.
When: Saturday, June 5, 2004 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 2200 block of Kalorama Road, NW, near the French ambassador's residence.
Bring: American flags and signs bearing messages of support for President Bush, Secretary Rumsfeld, America and our troops.
Please note, if you drive there park on the side streets west of Connecticut Avenue and south of the Taft Bridge. The closest Metro station is Woodley Park on the Red Line.
There are no nearby public restrooms, as this is in a neighborhood. The closest restaurant is on Connecticut just below Kalorama.
We have obtained a demonstration permit from the Metropolitan Police Department for this. If you do not feel that you can control yourself in the face of America-hating leftists, please stay home because we need this demonstration to be peaceful.
As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no racism, no profanity, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
Count on it and thanks...MUD

bump for the DC Chapter..stay safe and give 'em hell!
YourAdHere and Hobblemaster will be there!
I'd like to see the DC chapter call for a breathalizer test on Ted Kennedy before he is allowed to speak on the Senate floor.
Keep me posted. I think this will be one to remember.
Bumpus Maximus!
Great 'toon - thanks for posting!

"Rolling Thunder
Leaders of Rolling Thunder, in town for the annual motorcycle "Ride for Freedom" to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, will stop by the White House on Sunday to endorse President Bush.
The group, which speaks out on issues of interest to veterans, voted overwhelmingly to back Mr. Bush at a business meeting in March, according to Rolling Thunder President Artie Muller. "
Sure could use these guys on June 5.
My ex-wife was a Leo....and a stark raving lunatic to boot!
I thought I saw unbroken parallel lines running across your carpet. Looked like a freshly mowed lawn.
Mr. Berg may have contributed to his son's death by instilling in him the liberal belief that his good intentions would shield him from harm, IMHO.
I would like to see the D.C. Chapter call for an expulsion vote on Dread Kennedy...
I suspect that's prolly going over the line.
You're right on that, TSR. I love Registered's work, but this demonstration is not the place to make light of Nick Berg's demise.
The pictures attack the fraud of Michael Berg, as well as Michael Moore. I don't wanna be on defense, I wanna be on OFFENSE!
The LEFTISTS aren't going away quietly and you said they will OUTNUMBER us, so I think we should put it RIGHT IN THEIR FACE!
Besides, by the time of the FReep, we might just find out Berg and Moore were in cahoots!
Discussion???
