Nashville talk radio host, Steve Gill just completed an interview with Lt. Col. Glen Stringham(sp?) (ret.) who was Karpinski's supervsor while she was a captain at Ft. McPherson near Atlanta, GA.
During the interview, Lt. Col. Stringham indicated that part of his job was to observe and evaluate Karpinski directly during her service at Ft. McPherson. His personal observations of her were less than glowing as he told of a scandal involving Karpinski where 1000 rounds of ammunition under her direct control went missing and was never found and that some sort of discipline was given to Karpinski for the incident for failing to supervise her troops effectively (sound familiar?). He also stated, "I don't know how things are handled in the Reserves, but in the regular Army, she would never have been promoted to her current rank."
Lt. Col. Stringham also indicated that military evaluations of Karpinski showed her performance as substandard.
Steve Gill also hinted that he has several sources (and is working ot verify them) that tell of more than one of BG Karpinski's supervisors were disciplined under Article 15 of the UCMJ for fraternizing with her and possibly Karpinski herself had received an Article 15 discipline.
It is his opinion that Karpinski was kept in the military solely because the feminists wanted her to succeed and that the Army were more afraid of offending the political correctness crowd than getting rid of someone unsuitable for command.
This is an ugly piece of trash in so many ways. Shame for posting it.
Women have a place in the military, just not anywhere near the sharp end. My retired Army wife wholly agrees with this assesment, and even promotes it.
Women do not make for natural warriors, unless their offspring is threatened. Then you had better be good at duck and cover!
I suspect the Clintons had a lot more to do with it than language skills.
And is worth maybe $125.
Ugghhh!
I've seen pictures. Pretty bad already.
This a vile anti-Semitic site and has NO PLACE on Free Republic. Go back under your rock.
I'd have to look it up again, but I think it was March '03 that she made BG. She made Lt. Col. in '96.
I know that and you know that, but the military apparently keeps tight control of their ammo at stateside bases.
Why would I flame someone I agree with?
I was thinking the same thing. In addition, it should also be retracted because of the cheesy music when the page loads.
Have you been around military bases? By military women standars, she is better than average;^) Also, take 17 years off her age back to 33 or so and doll her up a bit and she wouldn't be that bad.
Gaaaak! What did you have to do THAT for?
It's the same way in the federal government and the Postal Service. Department managers are graded in their merit evaluations as to how many diversity appointments they made. A special favorite is "black female" because they get two diversity points for one appointment.
LOL...that too.
Any commander of the male gender, reserve or regular Army, given the situation Brig. General Karpinski finds herself in would have been removed from command weeks ago. She's an embarrassment to the Army and the officer corps.
My son went through a law enforcement course a couple of years ago. The same thing is happening there. He told me about all the subtle cheating that was done by instructors to help the women perform to the level of the men. Like letting the women shoot while there was still sunlight, but making the men shoot when it got dark. And the physical fitness tests were a joke.
Interesting link. I wonder if there is any truth to it.
I merely did a Google search for "Kapinski Bio" since someone asked about dates of service and that came up, I didn't even read it...crawl back under your own rock.
