As I explained above, the Church does effectively allow a "life of the mother" exception as a secondary effect based on the principle of legitimate defense. My comment in post #36 was a prediction about the poor rating I anticipate ALL will give the President based on their kooky legislative agenda. This despite the President having what I consider to be a courageous pro-life track record as you posted at the start of this thread.

The lack of voters applying the pro-life measuring rod is disheartening ... most voters don't consider the abortion holocaust a tragedy, a holocaust, or a defining issue. In that sad reality I too must take responsibility for over the past two decades not doing more, nor saying more, not writing more, and not voicing a defense of the little ones again and again until my fellow Americans recognize the horrible truth of abortion slaughter murdering our posterity. Our collective American guilt will be our demise for We the People ought to stand for better and abide by our own founding principles of right to Life, Liberty, and pursuit of Happiness.

I sometimes wonder, how would the typical voter answer a query where the questioner asks if parents should have the right to terminate an autistic child if discovered prior to the third birthday, or if a dependent parent should be open for disposal if the children feel/think/opine that the care of that parent is too burdensome to continue their previous lifestyle?
