It is written that teenage daughters are the cosmic payback for those who were once teenage boys. That sounds so true. You have officially depressed the crap out of me.
To top it off, the Mrs. and I are talking about having another child.
Just talking, for now.

Hooters is a family restaurant with a kids menu and everything. Their mascot is a giant owl, which is slightly less creepy and disturbing than Ronald McDonald and The Burger King. Why don't they change the names to 'Boobs?' Heavens, not meaning that, of course, just telling people about their management....

Child abuse by any other name....
Remember, these are the same goons who gave one of their waitstaff a Star Wars action figure as a prize (a toy Yoda) when she thought she would be receiving a Toyota. She sued and won.
They're several tacos short of a combination platter.

"Blue collar happy hour".Does that mean that only shots & beers are discounted? Blue collar = Real men; real men don't drink chardonnay!

Some people don't like the waitstaff uniforms, but I think the ones at Hot Dog On A Stick are much more degrading. Many, many years ago, I was on a plane and seated acrossthe isle from the founder of Hotdog on a Stick. He wasn't dressed any better.

Just rec'd this email from Stacy:
Thanks, they've buckled already.
I've updated the blog post, they've taken the sign down and are now advertising the north side bikini contest.
It is the location on the south end of Lakeland, FL.
Thanks, S

There are two groups of people to whom such a contest will appeal: Pedophiles, and the John/Patsy Ramseys of the world who think dressing up a little kid like an adult isn't going to warp the kid's mind. Both groups should be locked up.Jonbenet was also molested before the night of her murder....dressing up your kid as a 'little slut' puts them in extreme danger....even from their own family in some cases. IMO
The parents would have done better reading a book like "A Young Woman After God's Own Heart" by Elizabeth George. Tell me that sending a young girl to a talent show at that age wearing clothes modelled after adult clothes, won't have a profound impact on that girl's life in a negative way.

I think Hooter's is good for people who want to go there, but anything like that under 18 is not good.

It's the owl mascot that creeps me out. If they'd use one of these guys it'd make a lot more sense.
These are boobies.

I question Hooter's management decision to have a contest such as this, but the truly scary thing is the parents who would actually enter their child(ren) in a contest like this. The authorities should be called in to investigate.

This contest will attract every freak....not to mention the freaks who prefer little children.
