Hooters has not had the brightest ideas as of lately. Here in Houston they had "Blue collar happy hour". I told my wife that will last 1wk max. The next day the sign was down and have not seen it since.

"South Park" did an episode simialr to this idea. They called the restaurant "Raisins" to make the point.

There are two groups of people to whom such a contest will appeal: Pedophiles, and the John/Patsy Ramseys of the world who think dressing up a little kid like an adult isn't going to warp the kid's mind. Both groups should be locked up.

Dumb idea. Worse then dumb.

If you wanted to have a baby race, lining up the Hooters on the finish line would be a good idea.

Girls five and under??? No...nope...not good at all...here's hoping they rethink this one.

PING to the newly-created REPUBLICAN PARTY REPTILE ping list, named after our apiritual founder, P.J. O'Rourke. What is the Republican Party Reptile? It is a creature of the eighties. It’s neoconservatism with its pants down around its ankles, the Rehnquist Supreme Court on drugs, a disco Hobbes living without shame or federally mandated safety regulations. The Republican Party Reptile supports a strong defense policy, but sees no reason to conduct it while sober. The RPR believes in minimum government interference in private affairs—unless the government brings over extra girls and some ice. In short, the RPR is the new label that our political spectrum has been crying out for—the conservative with a sense of humor and a healthy dose of depravity.

To be added or subtracted, just ask. :o)

"Blue collar happy hour"

What's wrong with that?

Oh yeah, I forgot. That would be discrimination since it implied - Working People - ie Conservatives!

That would have left out the unemployed lazy dims.

so?????

There's no way in Hell this could do anything but cause a firestorm of protest. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Hooters is a family restaurant with a kids menu and everything. Their mascot is a giant owl, which is slightly less creepy and disturbing than Ronald McDonald and The Burger King.

Some people don't like the waitstaff uniforms, but I think the ones at Hot Dog On A Stick are much more degrading.

My daughter will be 4 this year.
Stuff like this pisses me off even more than it did before she was born.

What's the matter, don't they have "The turpentine Queen and Lil' Miss Pine Seedling" where you come from?

It could be worse, it could be sponsored by the DNC and
they'd all be wearing little dark pant suits!

I wasn't saying there was anything wrong with being blue collar. Its just that to use it as the center of your campaign to lure customers in is stupid. Just as many white collar folks eat at Hooters as well. You just alientated that whole group. Not smart marketing in my opinion. Sorry for not being more clear. didn't mean to offend anybody.

This isn't about whether it's a family restaurant or not. My wife, my kids, and I have go to various restaurants where the waitresses show various amounts of leg and cleavage (the attitude seems to be-- the larger the boobs and the smaller the skirt the larger the tip). Fine..., to each their own, but this Hooters' story is about hooterizing kids. Stupid idea to dress a child like a whore or a waitress....

Jonbenet was also molested before the night of her murder....dressing up your kid as a 'little slut' puts them in extreme danger....even from their own family in some cases. IMO

You know what? I'm a good deal less upset at Hooters for having the promotion than I am at parents who bring their daughters to it. No one's forcing people to enter their kids . . . they gotta choose to do that, and if they do, they deserve the karmic hell that's surely coming their way.

Wasn't it a Hooter's manager that ran the whole "New Toy Yoda" constest for his waitstaff, making them all think he meant "New Toyota"?

Guess common-sense isn't a prerequisite for managing a Hooters, lol.
