The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to intervene in the same-sex marriages law in Mass. Truly a sad day for America.

Next? I think they've been working busily on it; the marriage thing is one element.

marriage is already destroyed.

There seems to be a disconnect here Lawrence v. Texas was decided upon the basis of privacy. Marriage is clearly NOT a private action. Therefore "Lawrence" is irrelevant to this case.

Any of the nine judges, including Scalia, would have done the same. This particular appeal had no chance--it was basically asking a higher court to rule that the very idea of judicial review in the states was unconstitutional. No way.

Sodom and Gomarrah was 100% gay.

This may come as a surprise to Lot's wife and his daughters. What, did they have really busy adoption agencies or something?

Polygamy has a much better claim historically to acceptance.

There is no basis, following Lawrence and Goodridge, to deny polygamy.

None whatsoever.

It won't take a year.

Is there any research on what happens to societies that actively embrace the Homo agenda? Aren't they all doomed?

Isn't Homosexuality on the increase? Isn't there a better chance your children will be gay today than 40 years ago?

Face it people, we all could be gay. Just as we all could be fornicators, adulterers, perverts, gamblers, pedofiles, alchoholics, child pornographers, polygamists, bisexuals, bigamists, if we choose to.

Explanation please. On the face of it your comment sounds silly, but I'm sure you've thought it out.

"...REDIFINED a WORD that now has NO MEANING whatsoever..."

We invented the term "open marriage", not gays.

We promoted the notion of a no-fault divorce.

Straights invented wife swapping, swinging, and cohabitation.

None of those things ever impacted the sanctity of MY marriage, because the existence of evil does not overshadow the existence of good.

At best, there are apostates mocking the sacrament of marriage, and civil magistrates conducting civil unions.

The sanctity of my marriage is not impacted by the actions of either heterosexual or homosexual individuals.

Provincetown is booming. It is just about impossible to find a caterer or a florist who could handle another wedding this summer. The Crane and William Arthur invitations are ready to go out and the shoe stores on Cape Cod are stocking up on white satin high heel pumps - size 13E.

How does it feel to know your marriage is on the same level as this perversion.

But we're not talking about individual marriages, are we? We're talking about the institution of marriage. And if two guys can get married, why not two guys and a gal, for example? And thanks to the full faith and credit clause, if I understand this correctly, can't MA use that to shove their definition of marriage down the rest of the nation's colective throat? If so, marriage as an institution is meaningless.
