What is the Likelihood that you run into them in another country?
I have been in Target the same time as my mother-in-law before and didn't run into her.

It was said that Berg gave it to one person and it was handed over again to others until "M's" hands. How likely is it that this whole story is a lie?

I'm just confused and freaked-out now, but as others have already pointed out Berg was a man killed in the worst way and he is our brother no matter the details.

Here is a "tin foil" scenario.

1. He went to Iraq to help the dissidents.

2.He helped by using his technology knowledge to tap into military and/or private contractor communications.

3. The communications provided data to the insurgents that gave them a heads-up of comings and goings of military and contractor travels.

4. The advance knowledge of the routes and times of travel provide the insurgents with the ability to ambush contractors and military.

5. He returns home after setting up the links for the terrorists

6. Something makes the terrorists request his return to Iraq.

7. His return gets the curiosity up of the FBI who detains him with Iraqi help.

8. The FBI finds nothing but suspicions and attempts to convince him to go home.

9. Berg decides to finish his work for terrorists and declines safe passage.

10. Berg meets with terrorists who have decided he is has too dangerous information and is convinced to stage himself as a hostage. Copying other hostages.

11. The end.

Is there a picture of the hostage from Ohio? Something I noticed is that pictures of Nick Berg show a heavyset man with light hair. The video of the execution showed a man with a smaller frame with dark hair. I was so stunned by the video itself that I didn't even question the change of appearance.

Nick Berg is in the upper photo here - a body builder. The one in the video is the one with orange prison garb.

If that is the same person, he got thinner, shorter, and changed both his head shape and colors.

I think that Berg had contact with a 9/11 Hijacker at all and then went to Iraq under rather dubious circumstances casts him in a slightly suspicious light.

I read somewhere recently that he visited and introduced himself to the brother of his (Berg's) dead sister's husband. A CNN reporter just said he visited "a friend of the family." (If that is true, why did he have to introduce himself?) Also, reportedly, the brother was quite perturbed about his own and Berg's safety.

I think the number is up to 40 the last time it was in the paper about John Doe #2. The motel that McVeigh stayed at and John Doe #2 also had Atta and Moussaui spending the night there as another "coincidence!" that has come out since the trial started.
