Left Advocates Violent Attacks against "Military Targets" in United States

5/8/2004: Nazimedia: Attack US Targets

The San Francisco branch of Indymedia advocates violent attacks against “military targets” in the United States, in a post that was moved by the Indymedia overlords to their “hidden” area, but remains visible with a few clicks: Military Targets in the USA must be Attacked. (Hat tip: Rayra.)

UPDATE: The incriminating page has now been removed completely, after the Morlocks noticed referrals from LGF.

UPDATE: This is the text of the deleted Indymedia post:

Military Targets in the USA must be Attacked by al-masakin — Thursday, May. 06, 2004 at 7:13 PM

The torture of Muslim prisoners in Iraq in the “rape rooms” at the American Abu Ghraib prison confirms that the so-called American war on terror is really a war on Islam. George Bush has created a global gulag network of extra-legal and secret US prisons with thousands of inmates. This Gulag stretches from Afghanistan to Iraq, to Guantanamo and secret CIA prisons around the world. This Gulag exclusively holds Muslim prisoners.

In light of these revelations, Al-Masakin would like to take this opportunity to remind the American Muslim Mujahedin, and our allies in the revolutionary and anti-Imperialist left, that ROTC buildings, armed service recruiting centers, individual military personnel, and police officers are “military targets”. These institutions must be violently and covertly attacked. In fact, there are thousands of unarmed military targets walking around all over the United States. Outraged American citizens and American Muslims should have little difficulty making violent contact with recruits, cadets, marines, etc.

We strongly recommend that such contact be made with a very sharp knife, pepper spray, brass knuckles, baseball bats, firearms, explosives, or the bumper of a full sized automobile, truck or SUV.

It's of course disgusting the way your SIL was treated.

One thing though, Emerson's map is wrong about the Cleveland Muslim community. We have a decent sized one, lately largely Palestinian. The imam of the big mosque is in trouble for some things that he said and allegedly did over a decade ago.

They're basically good Americans though, glad to be here. They work hard, and don't soak up a lot of government benefits. The extended families look out for each other. My neice lives close to the main Palestinian neighborhood and its a lot safer than a lot of neighborhoods nearby. They're pro-Palestinian to be sure, but outside of that don't seem to have much use for the Islamist agenda.

God Bless your SIL.

I'm afraid for him. I am afraid for my daughter and grand baby. Even IF he doesn't wear his uniform around all the time, they STILL have those stickers on their windshields letting the world know that they ARE military.

Sad days and sad times.

Timothy McVea was a "good person," "good military person" as well. Look where "he" ended up.

Maybe the Islamic Jihad and the Muslim Brotherhood is working "out of" that Muslim community you have there. Could your Muslim community be just a front?

As you can tell, I am very suspicious, and my suspicions started long before this article emerged.

No offense but a couple of muslim A'holes in a convenience store shouldn't be able to make him want to leave the service. He can have more impact on them by causing a boycott of their crappy store. If he truly wants out it has to be deeper than muslims. IMHO

I wish.

Unfortunately, the Government would rather go after law abiding gun owners.

Every time the batf and fbi arrest some they are members of a "militia" and have an "arsenal" Furthur investigation reveals that they were WWII reinactors.

Nope. It's pretty on target. Those are soft targets. Just try to get on a military base around here. Those machine gun placements aren't for decoration and those guards manning the checkpoints fire real guns.

I wish that were true. Foreign national border intruders are routinely seen on Ft. Huachuca and only some are captured. In fact, the weekend after the war in Iraq started there were about 200 sighted but only 120 were intercepted. Those caught are simply turned over to US Border Patrol and driven back to the border where they'll try again and again.

Just last month they caught 130 on post. 70 of them had spent the night in the Veteran's cemetary - and if you've seen the disgusting mess they leave behind...

As for the gates, they pulled the soldiers with M16s off then they built huge canopies to shade the newly hired rent-a-cops from the desert sun. No machine gun emplacements here.

RE:

"...in the Navy we are actively discouraged from wearing our uniforms in public."

That's a bloomin' shame, too.

Was a time when it was considered a good idea to go on liberty, I gather from my "Swabbie" Veteran buddies, with no less that a half dozen or so Shipmates - but the uniform was worn with pride.

And any who messed with one, messed with all.

Of course, that was before the age of PC Law and rule.

Met a P-3 Driver from, I assume, up your way in Brunswick at the local dump the other day and struck up a friendly conversation - tried to let it be know that I was a Veteran and appreciated what you all are doing for us up there.

I don't suppose that ElQuida has a lot of submarines lurking off of our shores like the Nazis did in WW-II... but heck; who knows?

Just yesterday on the way back from visiting our Daughter, we went by the American Legion Post in New Glouchester and saw a young Sailor in his dress whites outside; it is a grand thing to see, IMHO and gives us a sense of pride and security to see the uniform out and about.

Despite the peace-weenies making all the noise and fuss, there remains a lot of silent support for you folks around, even here in the PR of ME. And if any of you *ever* get dissed or hassled for being a member of our Military at any business in the area, in or out of uniform, please let us know... and a lot of us old Vets will be taking our business elsewhere, after a few phone calls are made and letters are written so that they (and the public) will know exactly why.

Please don't hesitate to consider your Veteran's organizations, particularly the American Legion (Founded 1918, of which your humble correspondant is a Member), as your local Civilian advocate and resource any time, Mate!

As far as we are concerned, any who mess with one (you) STILL messes with all - which, by the way, includes US!

These Vets are from the Brunswick Post, BTW. Scene look familiar?

Since you are serving during a time of War, you can join the Legion even while on active duty, as far as I know. If you are interested in meeting the vets of your local Post, I can find out contacts and where & when they meet for you.
You and your Mates would be more than welcome to visit any Meeting of the Post - ESPECIALLY IN Uniform!

Do you ever get down to see Paul Bennett in Freeport (Freeport Trading Post on Rt. 1 just No. of Bean's)? I've seen a lot of the fellows from BNAS in there buying "stuff" - they must be quartered in off-base housing I suppose, so as to have a place to legally stash their goodies.
Uniforms would be welcome in there, of course, and I would not be surprised if the normally tightwadded ol' Paul would even spring for a soda now and then for a Customer in uniform - but we understand why you have to keep a low profile these days.

It's a bummer that ME will not practice "Reciprocity" with CWPs like the States do for Driver's Licenses. But given the current political climate in this State, it is a miracle that even us Residents are still allowed to get them - or possess firearms at all (legally).

I know that there are provisions for an out-of State Service Member stationed in ME to get a Hunting Licese - but I'm not sure about CWPs. Check around with your Mates; it might be doable.

A copy of the State Law pertaining to CW Carry can be had at any local Police Station or SP Barracks, as far as I know - as well as a CWP application.
The BPD could probably advise to some extent, or let you know if there is any precident for BNAS Personel getting ME permits while stationed here, or what procedures are required if so.

Brunswick is a pretty nice little Town, as Maine Towns go.

Perhaps we'll meet you down at Bennetts - or at the "Fat Boy" Diner some time, eh?

RE:

"I'm leaning towards .308...useful to take game if need be, and better range. If only I could find one for less than a grand, with cheap mags...."!

I don't know really, since I don't own one - but on the basis of what I read, you might want to consider the CETME or (if you can afford a little more) a G-3 varient.

You have to know how to set them up right apparently, but from what I gather they can be very accurate, reliable, and 20-rd mags can be reputedly had for $3 a pop!

See Paul down in Freeport - if he knows you're active USN and a home-state CWP holder, he'll treat you right!

I am getting real close to serious here. Living in MI is very scary. It's part of why I pulled my daughter out of school. We are one city north of the second largest Arab community in the state. When my daughter was in a charter school, she had 4 Iraqi classmates. All of them were born in Iraq, are Chaldean Catholic and the parents had worked to become American citizens. One girl could not speak Iraqi because the parents were now American. However, because there were so many Arab children, if a young Arab man with a hidden weapon wanted to take the school out, he would not look out of place at all. The films of AQ storming kindergarten classes, scared the crap out of me.

RE:

"The only thing we are told is no drinking at public places in uniform."

I'm pretty sure that active duty personel can join Fraternal Veteran's groups such as AMVETS and the Legion.

Many Posts operate private Clubs for Members at which adult refreshments may be had, and I don't think anti-smoking laws apply, being a private club and all. I don't think that uniforms would be a problem at all there.

You just don't want to get nailed on a DWI rap on the way back to the Base, of course - bad press and all. So designated driver would probably be the smart way to go, IMHO.

Just FYI...

RE: "us Aircrew are absolutely NOT allowed to wear our flight suits offbase."

Hmmmm - maybe that's why the P-3 Jock I met at the dump seemed a little nervous... if you mean the one-piece zip-up OD rig with the little plastic badge/wings/name tag pocket on the left chest?

Didn't bother me any!
