Is anyone of the Democratic persuasion welcome here, or are you crazy Republicans going to kick me off? Do any of you know how freaking ridiculous things are getting with George Bush in office? Let's do the list: assaults the environment, rising unemployment, rising gas prices, rising hatred of us across the globe, a phony war with over 700 Americans dead, POW torture, overtime pay almost done away with.....the list goes on and on. It's CRAZY.

The fact that you whine about "POW torture" and a "phony war with 700 dead" (actually a real war with nearly 4000 dead) shows why your party is not only not welcome on FR, but not welcome in the government. AFter Bush wins a landslide reelection--and he will; try talking to someone outside the bathhouses sometime--we will have the majority needed to prosecute traitors like you and punish you accordingly.

One of the best things I get out of this site is arming myself with information to respond to the Dems talking points.

It's a waste of ammunition. These yahoos only post and run, there is no discussion, no talking points. They add nothing to ones "repertoire of intelligent response". They watch the replies in cyber space and only mock you for attempting to reason with them. I used to be a moron too. I would respond to the bait. Not anymore. If, after 10 replies, the poster does not reply, its a "drive-by". My admonition was rude to say the least, and I apologize. But it got your attention. You now know what to look for. It was not meant to belittle, but to warn. Perhaps I should have just posted in bold:

Socialized medicine is a failure. England is abandoning it in many ways, including allowing poeple to purchase their own health care. Also, in Canada people are now buying health insurance for treatment in AMERICA!

15,000 people died in France's "heat wave" last year for lack of acceptable health care.

How should "education" be fixed? More money? Smaller classes? Higher teacher pay?

Consider that private schools operate on avg. at 60% of the cost of public schools and pay their teachers less. Yet they beat public schools in every aspect of education. That 60% number also includes asset costs (buildings, etc...) whereas the public school numbers of $X per student is ONLY the classroom dollars. So the real number is actually closer to 40%.

And why are the states with the highest per student expenditure and lowest classroom size at the bottom of the pack?

Guess what 2 professions have the highest rate of children in private schools.

1) Politicians
2) Public School Teachers!

I now see what you mean with the whole "drive-by" liberal assault on FR. I'm fairly new here and hadn't seen that before, lesson learned. Also another frepper made a very good comment to me that this was set up as a liberal free zone and I can appreciate and respect that.

As to my comment about using this site to arm myself with information to respond to Dems. I didn't mean that I use the knowledge I get for responses to others on this site but to use in discussions with friends and family in my life who I consider intelligent enough (alhtough perhaps led down the garden path by the media) to take on the facts and reconsider their opinions/voting preferences.

Thank you, and welcome to FR. Liberals, on occasion, have posted here and done very well. That is those who did want to learn about conservatives, rather than just ridicule us. I don't know of an admitted Democrat or "Lefty" that, as long as they were civil and mature, were ever thrown off the FR site (though I'm sure there have been some). We too would like to learn. The drive-bys, however are truly annoying and done by the same type of nerd that likes to make computer virus and worms, except not as smart.
