Could There Finally Be A Link Between the Oil for Food Scam and Terrorism?

Dulles, Virginia Evidence provided to Chairman Chris Shays' (R-CT) House Subcommittee investigating the Oil for Food scandal suggests that at least 270 individuals, organizations and businesses stretching from the UN to Paris to Moscow to the Vatican to the Middle East and elsewhere may have benefited from the scheme including the person at the UN, Benon Sevan, who was responsible for running the program. One of the most chilling aspects of the scandal was brought out by Rep. Doug Ose (R-CA) who noted that among the 270 names included, one was the late Abu Abbas, one of the world's most wanted terrorists. Another listed is a U.S. designated terrorist group, Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and now we know that we are fighting terrorists in Fallujah. Rep. Ose's observation begs the questions:
(1) How many terrorists and terrorist organizations benefited from the $10 billion plus ripped off from the Iraqi people by Saddam?
(2) How much of this money is being used to finance the terrorists activities occurring in Iraq and the broader Middle East today?
(3) Will the UN and U.S. congressional inquiries pursue the terrorist connections in their investigations?
(4) And will evidence finally show President Bush was correct in his statements about links with terrorism and Saddam/Iraq?
In summary, the UN appears to have botched the program and created a climate where Saddam could funnel large sums of money to terrorists and terrorist organizations to the detriment of humanity and civilization - and the free world is suffering for it today in Iraq and elsewhere, says Fred Gedrich, Senior UN and Foreign Policy Analyst at Freedom Alliance who attended Shays hearing.

And if anyone bothered to look in to any of a number of other UN programs, they will find more dirt and corruption than they can imagine.

I recall a story out of Somalia about a couple of UN peacekeepers holding a child over a fire and burning him.

HOLY COW
Billions in payoffs to corrupt politicians and terrorist organizations. Another great reason we were right to invade Iraq. Folks, this was a $10 billion pipeline to AMERICAS ENEMIES. Including terrorists. We cannot let the terrorists get their hands on that kind of money. Money is power... It's that simple!

Our allies at Free Dominion are covering this, and have some rather pithy comments:

"Holy cow!" was exactly my thought. And WHY this information isn't on the front page of every paper in the country is amazing too. You can bet if anyone remotely connected to Bush/Cheney were on that list, they'd already have been impeached.
This is far from over, but I suspect we'll read about it only in the history books. I wish the press would get as curious about this as they are Michael Jackson, Martha Stewart, bla bla bla...

And will evidence finally show President Bush was correct in his statements about links with terrorism and Saddam/Iraq? Well actually there already has been evidence, the media here just chooses to ignore it.

Yep, the lamestreme media will only cover it if it helps the Democrats....pretty sad. Maybe Fox will kick some butts with it.

So, can we assume, by implication, that the UN is a terrorist organization?
