CNN is Debunking Richard Clarke!!! (Are Pigs Flying?)
4/26/04 | Timeout

Posted on 04/26/2004 3:03:51 PM PDT by Timeout

Wolf Blitzer just did an amazing segment on his Inside Politics program.

He led off with a detailed explanation of Clarke's allegation that the Clinton administration's "shaking the trees" led to the capture of the millenium bomber in Seattle. Wolf explained that Clarke had claimed in his testimony that a similar high-alert level prior to 9/11 might likely have prevented that horror. Wolf further showed how Condi Rice had denied Clarke's charge, saying those border agents were not on high alert.

Then Wolf brought on the actual border patrol agent who stopped the bomber in Seattle. He gave her plenty of time to tell what happened. (Bomber came across on ferry, gave unsatisfactory answers and was sweating profusely prior to agents discovering "powder" in the wheel well of his car. She was awesome!)

Then Wolf lowered the boom: "Were you on high alert due to the millenium?"

She said, "No, we weren't. In fact there WAS NO elevated alert system at that time. We were just doing our jobs."

Nailed! What's amazing is that CNN bothered to run this "old news". What's gotten into them? And it was probably a 15 minute interview...quite long for your average political show. I was stunned.

Does anyone here think he might not even get his party's nomination? Will it be Hillary to the rescue?

That has been my prediction for months. ( not that my opinion carries any more weight than any other sap)

I saw GMA and Kerry this morning and the first thing that came to my mind is that Kerry is toast.

When the liberal media turns of him, he is toast.

Enter Hillary, never having to have fought it out in the primaries. She is politically tone deaf, terrible extemporaneously This way she gets the nod without having to reveal what a clutz she is.
Her handlers will make sure she always has a friendly audience, the media will swoon over her , showering her with preapproved softball questions.
All she will have to get by , is one, possibly two debates with Pres. Bush.

Don't read too much into this folks..

CNN is smart enough to realize their credibility is near zero, and Clark was just one anchor too many on their sinking ass...

CNN continues to lie...
They will attempt to make their lies more difficult to discern..

No doubt DU will say this is because CNN is right wing. LOL

If CNN is right wing to the DUmbies, what does that make FOX?

Extreme-Uber-Ultra-Slobbering in their oatmeal-Right Wing?

If the liberal media is turning on him it is not without reason....maybe we should be wary.

Bill and Hillary Clinton have instructed their minions to make sure Kerry does not win this election.

It's starting to appear that way. ABC digs up a 1971 video on Kerry that contradicts him, and Lefty Wolf Blitzer now reports unfavorable for Clarke.

Bill and Hillary do seem to own the Lib Media.

I agree. Earlier today I posted that, after Kerry's horrible showing on GMA, the DNC is probably in emergency session trying to figure out what to do.

Kerry severely wounded himself this morning with his incongruent comments. He couldn't even defend one statement without contradicting previous statements.

Kerry is in meltdown. The DNC should be in emergency session.

[I still look for Hillary to be on the ballot as #2 or possibly #1.]

"One word: Fox"

Agree 100 percent. Up to 6 months ago most of the restaurants/bars in my area ran CNN on the big screens. Fox now holds that spot. In fact I have only seen CNN on one screen in the last month.

Something strange is going on. Combine this with ABC covering Kerry's lie about his medals this morning...

Most definitely strange...

Some of you guys should grab your tinfoil hats and join DU.

Speaking of tinfoil, I have read another tinfoil explanation.

[tinfoil on]

President Bush wanted to replace Cheney with a more energetic Republican. Her Highness got into the picture, and she negotiated a secret deal with Bush to guarantee an easy win for Her Highness on 2008.

Her Highness will torpedo Kerry's campaign to ensure Bush's reelection, and in exchange, Bush would not give a headstart to a vigorous Republican by keeping old Cheney on his job.

I think they just refer to it as "Faux News" and bury their heads in the sand. There really is no reason with stupidity of that nature but like a train wreck you don't want to stare but you can't look away.

"Bill and Hillary Clinton have instructed their minions to make sure Kerry does not win this election."

Bingo!

I'm wondering if May 1 was the target date to begin officially "devolving" Kerry, and the Charlie Gibson interview this morning and this interview on CNN are just a little warm-up.

I am wondering if Hillary is going to accompany Bill on his book tour. If she shows up, Kerry better watch his back.

my husband came home and switched the TV back to FOX, so I missed the actual interview.

I hope hubby had some harsh words for you as he corrected the TV, regarding consorting with the enemy...

I'm not smelling the stink of the Klintons here. This revelation only debunks what was (according to Klarke) one of the Sink Emperor's security successes. He doesn't have many of those in his Legacy Portfolio.

Ol' Crusty won't run now. She can't win this year.
