I'm going to buy TWO 1970's vintage 2-stroke motorcycles on Saturday. I love the smell of blue smoke in the morning! Happy Earth Day!

I'm digging out the 6 hp Troy-Bilt tiller, breaking up some ground, pulling a few small stumps and seeding part of my lawn.

After that, I'll jump in my gasoline fueled bus and drive to the local beermaking store and pick up a few kits. I'll be tossing my cigarette butts and soda cans out the window en route.

I think when the beermaking is done, I'll test run every piece of outdoor power equipment I have: 2 chainsaws, 2 line trimmers, a 2 stroke and a 4 stroke lawnmower, a handheld power cultivator, a 7.5kw generator, and the chainsaw powered blender.

I'll also test run all 7 vehicles in the driveway. Perhaps I'll go over to my enviro-weenie buddy's place and fire up my '71 Lincoln, too. Just for good measure.

Good for them. Recycling is more costly than disposal and uses more energy, adding to the dreaded global warming. We fall for far too many enviro-nut schemes which costs us more in taxes and lost productivity.

My city recycles but I don't.

My son was asking me what Earth Day was today. I told him it was a day we're supposed to sit around saying how much we love Earth, hold hands, and sing "Kumbaya". He thought it was funny.

They MIGHT be cedar logs that have been been butted already. Judging by the background they might be Western cedars. To be honest, I can't really tell what they are since the pic isn't very clear.

We have a 518 Cat with a swing grapple. The blade isn't original. It's heavier duty and highly adjustable. Also, it has a better motor than the original.

In order to do my duty on this our Earth Day, I promise to leave my car running for an extra 15 minutes when I pull in my driveway tonight after work. And just for today, I will also only smoke outside. Earth Day, make sure you feel good about yourselves, o.k.? lol
