Kerry at Bal Harbor Sheraton lulls them

Tonight, April 21, Democratic party Presidential candidate John 'F-is-for-flipflop' Kerry and Theresa Heinz made a fund raising and campaign appearance at the Bal Harbor Sheraton near Miami Beach, Florida. Nationally prominent Dems present included Senator John Corzine, Senator Bob Graham and Senator John Edwards. Elian Gonzales' attorney Kendall Coffe was also there along with prominent Florida Democrat Jimmy Morales.
It was hard to determine which was the greater problem with the event: lack of attendance or lack of enthusiam since both were very evident. Approximately 250-300 people stood silently listening to Senator Kerry's droll recitation of his by now familiar stump speech until some could take no more and began to leave first by twos and threes and then in larger groups. After Kerry finally said something that got an applause--about replacing John Ashcroft as Attorney General--he ended his speech, shook hands with John Edwards and quickly left the stage with Ms. Heinz the ketchup heiress in tow.
If this Kerry event is indicative of the quality of the remainder of the Kerry Presidential campaign, President Bush should, barring some unforseeable tragedy, win in November--handily.

"We're gonna work hard to get an Attorney General that's not John Ashcroft!"
So, the Democrats are going to give us... Webb Hubbell? Janet Reno? Sure, I trust the Democrats' judgment. Right.

I just told him that I appreciated everything he did to help Elian stay here and that I think of it often. He paused and then said he was just thinking about it today. April 22 will be the 5 year anniversary. I will share more at another time. I should be sleeping.

people stood silently listening to Senator Kerry's droll recitation of his by now familiar stump speech "Droll"? I'm assuming you meant "dull."

"Surprise, surprise, surprise!"

They didn't have time to go after terrorists, but they had time to send an army into a suburban neighborhood to grab a little kid and deport him back to Castro. What heros they were in that last administration.

The only reason Kerry has any support at all is because he isn't George W Bush. This TRUTH bears repeating. That's the ONLY reason folks support him!

I spoke to Kendall Coffe, Elian Gonzalez' attorney, after the event. I told him that I appreciated all he did to keep Elian from being sent back to communist Cuba, and that I would never forget that day he was snatched. I told him I think about it all the time, which is true. He proceded to tell me how much my words meant to him (yea right), and that he was just thinking about it today. He mentioned that April 22 is the 5 year anniversery of the raid by the gov't on the defenseless home, and that it was actually Easter morning. Radtechtravel responded,"That's right, it was Ressurection Sunday morning." Coffe answered back by saying,"You're right, it was Resurrection Sunday." I think at that point, he knew we were not Democrats, but he was very polite, and talked with us for a while.

Just FYI, it was April 20, not 21. :)

Wonder what he's doing now?
My little boy is the age he was then...

I am sure he is fully brainwashed and will be a major propaganda tool for the communists. I'm guessing Cuba won't use him internationally for at least 5 or 10 more years. That would disgust a lot of people.

Governsleast asks, "'Droll? I'm assuming you meant 'dull.'"
Droll is correct when used as synonym to "laughable, fracical, ridiculous, ludicrous, absurd or preposterous" as noted in my Merriam-Webster Thesaurus. Of course the thick-witted dems subjected to this drollery were nodding off on their feet, not laughing, while I was having troubles suppressing guffaws.
Dull is also descriptive of the event as it relates to the Democrats' existential moment, but ignores the laughably absurd aspect of the content and style of Kerry's speech, e.g., he offered a long and sometime incorrect list of Democrat 'accomplishments' which included the creation of the EPA, laughably a Nixon administration baby.

The GOP should send limos to make sure Kerry shows up at his appearances. The more he's out there, people can see what a dork he is.
