He also said "I'm sure they will deny it, but if you know my reporting, you'll know it's the truth."This messianic complex stuff?
Yup, I saw it. Bob Woodward thinks quite a lot of himself.

HAHA! He's switching to CYA mode, much like Clarke and O'Neill before him.

Watching Hardball now w/barf bag handy. Are we covering tonight's shows on this thread or is there a different Live thread?
To: OldFriend
uh.... in a word.... No. LOL.
Apparently, it matters not to the Kerry campaign, or the main stream press, if what he says today is accurate cause there is always tomorrow's reversal of what he said today. The sound bites will be aired on the ABCCBSNBCMSNBCCNN evening news and some of it will stick in the mind of some vacant minded "undecided" voter.

Ha!
I took a look at Hardball to see with my own eyes. Got to hear "Scooter" twice. I didn't anticipate that so had no drink handy.
LOL
I'm already back on Fox. I really can't take Matthews' nonsense anymore.
I did hear him say Kerry has no oil ties so if anybody runs across one be sure to tell Chris about it.

IOW, if he wants to call made up converstations with comotose dying men or employing mind reading gimmicks the truth who would dare question his journalistic integrity ?

My 31" TV wouldn't be able to withstand the huge ego Chrissy has. It would cause the sides of my TV to warp outward, and split the fine wood cabinet that two trees gave their lives up for to house my beautiful set in.

I have to go out and plant 3 rosebushes before the rain comes. Ping me to whatever discussion comes up on this. PLUS I want to hear Ashcroft tonight!!
To: BigSkyFreeper
Chrissy is having Woodward on his show Wednesday. I may not last tonight's program...getting sick even hearing him.
To: Howlin
Could you are someone please summarize who is to appear on what shows tonight? I'm on a steep learning curve here, having been gone all day, LOL!

Rich Armitage is Powell's alter ego and probably is the source of Woodward's info.
What would he have to gain by helping Woodward spread this manure? This got my attention, quickly.

I wonder how much of Woodward's book comes from conversations with Richard Clarke?

Don't know where else to post this, but I confess I went back to the end of Hardball out of curiosity to hear what Fineman would say.
Well he and Chris were wondering why Powell hasn't QUIT and Fineman said Powell is tendering a slow motion resignation via Woodward's book.
Good GRIEF. Talk about missing the mark by about 10 miles.
What a couple of dolts. I shall now resume my Hardball boycott.
To: cyncooper
Well don't turn on blowhard O'Reilly. He started off his show by completely ignoring Powell's statements today, and said that many of the points in Woodward's book, he had already known and reported on. Including that Powell and Cheney were at odds. I wasn't taking notes as the show began, and I wish I had now!

Well, Powell caught a lot of the "experts" tonight by going on Hannity's show this afternoon. HA! A two-fer!
And O'Reilly is on a tear about the press, so that is good. He also had two generals on who were adament that we are doing well in Iraq. Last word from General Valley...."Do not elect anyone for Congress, Senate, or the Presidency who does not put national defense first!!!"
To: My2Cents
I am beginning to think Richard Clarke should be arrested. I am certain he was the source of a lot of the "leaks," was involved in Joe Wilson's 15 minutes of fame, and is no doubt the source for all of this garbage from Woodward.
You are exactly right.
As I said...ok Woodward...play the tapes!!!
To: Miss Marple
prince bandar live on CNN now.
To: oceanview
Bandar called in on his own to Paula Zahn to answer the allegations he was hearing from over the air!
To: oceanview
I assume he denied it.
I swear, this sounds like Richard Clarke to me.
To: Miss Marple
he did, but he explained alot of things fairly well.
