Perhaps you, like so many across the planet, are more than a bit baffled by the runaway success of "The Passion of the Christ."
Perhaps you, furthermore, are more than slightly disturbed that millions have flocked to this bizarre ultraviolent blood-drenched revisionist flick and that so many actually believe its story to be absolutely true, and that it just surpassed "The Return of the King" in total box office and is the No. 8 most successful film of all time and it was No. 1 again across BushCo's flyover states during Easter weekend and has sold 650,000 books and 125,000 creepy pewter nail necklaces and you find it all just incredibly warped and disheartening and what the hell is the world coming to.
You are not alone.

Seems like the boy is a little late to the party (didn't most of the bigoted, leftist, anti-Christian, hateful attempts to stop people from seeing the film end weeks ago)? Can't imagine why a homo would be offended by the Bible/Christ/Christians/Christianity and have an axe to grind. Homosexuality is deviant behavior.

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed The Passion, even though I am a non-believer.

Just do what I do - e-mail Ms. Morford and tell her you're praying for her. Drives her crazy!
Yes, I really do pray for Mark. He needs it bad!

Perhaps you, like so many across the planet, are more than a bit baffled by the runaway success of "The Passion of the Christ." No, Mark...actually, I'm baffled by the fact that you took a month off and judging from your writing, you're no more chemically clean nor sober than you were before you left. I'm baffled by the fact that you're still alive instead of a pile of carbonized ash due to a freak lightning strike. Most of all, I'm baffled by the fact that all the blunt-force trauma to your rectum hasn't brain-damaged you into a coma. Get help soon, Mark...I believe you'll find that the good Lord is somewhat less entranced by delicious screaming naked nuance than you are.

At worst, it makes one wonder whether he is in league with more sinister forces who do not want our Lord's Message out there.Morford is definitely in league with the one who makes life so attractive to the God-less. The weak follow satan and his minions. This is just one of many daily examples.
If not in *this* life, certaily in the next, Morford and his ilk will get their just "rewards."
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if his feet aren't feeling just a tad *hot* as we speak.

Slightly off topic... my hubby and I were wondering who ErrAmerica's prime audience would be. It strikes me it's deluded people like Morford.
Democrats are divided against themselves... minorities don't like a lot of the gay agenda; union members are primarily interested in high wages and actually support quite a bit of Bush's agenda; women by and large don't buy into the leftist side of many issues. So who is mainly in Franken's and Garofolo's audience? Environmentalists and gays? Does any other group buy the leftist line lock, stock and barrel?

"The odd thing is that critics loved the bizarre ultraviolent blood-drenched KILL BILL and are hyping the new KILL BILL II. So why is there such an uproar about Gibson's film being violent? Critics have celebrated much more gore than Gibson's film since before PULP FICTION.
It would seem there is a "double-standard" being applied to Mr. Gibson. Why?"
You are so right there. We went to see the Passion for the second time yesterday afternoon. In front of us were young men, all of whom were seeing Kill Bill 2. (barf) Last night I noticed that it was given 4 stars. I can only believe that we are to worship at the altar of needless violence and debauchery created by Hollyweird. We are not to contemplate Christ, faith, morals, or sin. It throws such a wrench in the crap they've been spoon-feeding us for so long.

After this witch-hunt against Mel Gibson and his movie, we have decided that they won't see another dime of our money (much as we can in this world of huge conglomerates). We are cancelling our local channels on satellite, and may cancel the whole thing somewhere down the road. We don't want to drink their Kool-Aid, and don't want our children drinking it either.

the movie is a big success in Italy. I was talking to a relative there, a woman who hasn't gone to Church probably in 30 years, who hasn't shed a tear in a long, long time. She went to see the movie which she considered deeply beautiful and profound, its message of love moved her so much that she cried and she wants now to receive communion.
She did not consider it too violent but a true depiction of His suffering.

PRAISE GOD!
SOUNDS WONDERFUL.
I agree with those who say one soul touched toward eternal redemption by the movie is sufficient. Now there have been 10's of thousands.
PRAISE THE LORD!
And the enemy's efforts to scuttle it have only enlarged it's reach! I'm blessed to read your report.
Thanks.

You catch glimpses of this revolting cartoonishness through barely parted fingers and you think, goddammit, there goes half an hour of my vital life force that I will require much sex and vodka and Buddhism to recover. The above quote from the article says it all about the author.

Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the LORD and against His annointed, saying,
"Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us."
HE WHO SITS IN THE HEAVENS SHALL LAUGH:
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
