President Bush and Israeli Prime Minster Ariel Sharon made a joint statement Wednesday unveiling a plan for the forward movement of the peace process between the Israelis and the Palestinians. They talked about Sharon's plan that would remove Israeli settlements and certain military installations from Gaza and The West Bank, and reiterated that the security fence now being constructed between Palestinian and Israeli territories was a defensive maneuver and not a divisive one. Again, the ball is in the Palestinians court. What they choose to do, we will have to wait to see.

As I listened to President Bush and Prime Minister Sharon speak, I couldn't avoid two questions that kept coming to mind. With his actions and his words of support and friendship for Israel and her people, how can the people of Jewish ancestry in this country not support the re-election of George W. Bush? Or conversely, how could they continue to support the Democratic Party and its current presumptive leader, John Kerry? .........

To Bush the jews are fair weather friends. If Kerry were to take a pro Israel stance, they would drop Bush like a pair of dirty socks.

I recently asked my 80 year old Jewish friend (who is VERY intelligent and VERY up-to-date on current events) that very question.

His answer: "I never thought about that before... Good point!

I guess he had a brain burp and was finally glad to be relieved of the pressure.

It's a mystery.....

Bush is a better friend to Israel than any democratic President since Truman yet Jews are in the majority Democrats......

The Democrats are the party of abortion on demand with no restrictions yet the majority of Catholics remain Democrats....

Democrats keep blacks down through their control of the public school system and backing of affirmative action, yet blacks are overwhelmingly Democrats.....

It's a mad, mad world!

Latest Poll has Catholics supporting Kerry 45%, Bush 41% with a 4% margin of error. Last election was about 60% for Gore. All this when Kerry IS a Catholic.

I ask the same question about American Catholics.

My thoughts exactly. More like, "How any Christian still support any democrat?" especially with their stance on abortion.

I think I heard Rush or Hannity say something like,

"I don't understand how any Catholic can go to church on Sunday and vote for a democrat on Tuesday, especially anyone like Kerry."

I started using this for my tagline yesterday.

I've actually heard it explained (from a Jew) like this:

Just as the Democrat party keeps minorities on the plantation by saying "we'll protect you from mean ol' racist whitey"

the Jews keep voting Democrat because they have an "us vs them" attitude toward the "Goyem" who are always out to get them.

In reality, it's the Left that's really out to do them in.

The right has a problem with its attitude toward groups in that we ignore their "groupness" and treat them as individuals that must all live up to the same standards of behavior in society. This non-pandering doesn't win them to our side.

Most American Jews have a death wish. Thye will help elect John Kerry, and for that support the Bin Laden boys will have an uncontested environment for the killing fields of Americans and Jews. As for American Blacks, they are now quickly becoming toast. They frittered away their political power by becoming the "slaves" of the Democrat Party. But now that Hispanics and Asians are the "monster" political minority in the USA, Blacks are passe! Leaving themselves no where else to go has doomed them to remain at the bottom of the totem pole forever in the USA! Thankfully, Hispanic and Asians are not so stupid. Blacks have been betrayed by their leaders and the Democrat Party. They will never learn!

Those of us who are practicing and Pro-Life Catholics have a serious problem with "Catholic" politicians who are pro-abortionists. CINO(Catholic In Name Only) might be more accurate. LOL
