Sorry for the vanity, but this is information I thought Freepers would like to hear about.
Apparently due to unresolved contractual disputes, the Los Angeles and Chicago affiliates of leftist Air America Radio have pulled the programming from their airwaves and returned to local programming.
I'm hearing this second hand, so if anyone has verifiable information or clarifications, please post them.

Sorry, I forgot to put on a "HA HA" tag on that one. Some stations with such low power can mostly ony be heard in their own parking lot.

I love this one from the DU board?
No phone numbers, a generic form on the Air America web site, no responses to any e-mails -- I called the general phone line and it rang for about five minutes and cut off.
Very Bush-like.
Very angering and disappointing.
LOL! Is there anything they won't inject Bush into????

Ugh, I didn't know they were on DISH network. I'll call Charlie Ergen and ask him what he's thinking?

"Contractual problems" like failing to produce the ad revenue they promised. Read an early report on Air America and that 90% of the advertisements were PSAs!

"These people of color obey the neocommunists and, like a whipped dog, lick their hands."
You are wrong here. The people of color obey their own who obeys the neocoms.
Just look at Rangel or any urban black leader.

They're right. Bush never answers the phone when I call the White House.
And he never responds to my e-mails about radio programming.

I couldn't even find them on the Chicago dial. I thought it would be entertaining like a circus sideshow.

Apparently due to unresolved contractual disputesTranslation:The contract did not state that there would be no pictures to illustrate talking points. We had no idea we'd actually have to use intelect and imagination because this was a radio broadcast and not television. Our attention span can only last so long..........

Can't help but notice that that current list is heavily weighted to S. Florida. I guess it's just easier to go where they're wanted!

I knew you were being sarcastic. 1000 Watts! LOL! Seriously, that's what radio stations at 2-year community colleges put out.

As far as I understand, Arbitron ratings are used to set ad rates, but most large market radio stations use overnight ratings to assess programming decisions.

They can also get daily ratings by standing on an overpass and determining what stations the cars driving by are listening to.
