That serious a failure that quick?
Seems they would need four-five months of rating reports.

Stuart Smalley will surely blame President Bush and FCC race-traitor Michael Powell for cleaning up the airwaves!

Oh no. So sad.

If they broadcasted and nobody tunes in, were they really on the air?
How long before the transmission reaches Pluto? Someone will be tuning in out there...
To: tdadams
I'd like to see these ratings.

Every "contractural" problem in the entertainment industry can be fixed with money. The dems have more than enought money to fix this, if they want to. I suspect some donors are backing out after seeing the ratings. It's obvious the money could be more effective elsewhere.

I don't know about those places but here in NY they bumped off a black talk radio station... well lately it was Caribbean music and sport games and a lot less talk. Looks like my mother's curse is working!

I understand Franken was running out of things to say and was replaying conservative radio hosts comments and replying to them.

"Contractual problems" like failing to produce the ad revenue they promised.
Think the liberal press will feature this on their front pages as they did the start of the program???

Thanks for that. I looked all over there and couldn't find it. Yes, they are blaming President Bush and not the fact that their product sucks so bad people would rather hear Spanish.

From DU:
It can't be the bill collector. They said they have enough $ to keep AA going for 2 years without ad revenue.
Bwwaaaaaahaaaaaaaaa! Guess what, dumbass! Liberals lie to you!

I can't wait to see the DUmmies posting all sorts of hilariously entertaining conspiracy theories about "Big corporate radio" who are Bush donors and the FCC, headed by the son of Bush puppet, secretary of state Colin Powell.
Dang, I can almost write their threads for them.

To: tdadams
"I suspect the 'contractual dispute' is a failure to deliver ratings anywhere close to what was promised. And it would have to be a very significant failure to invoke an "out" clause." Unfortunately for your premise, the "network" hasn't been on the air long enough for ratings to have been taken. Arbitron does its books by the quarter, so they'd have to be on at LEAST that long before any ratings would be known.

It didn't take them long to blame Bush for their "contratual dispute".

The AA plan was always to stay on the air until mid-November, that's it. Looks like they won't make it.
