Sorry for the vanity, but this is information I thought Freepers would like to hear about.
Apparently due to unresolved contractual disputes, the Los Angeles and Chicago affiliates of leftist Air America Radio have pulled the programming from their airwaves and returned to local programming.
I'm hearing this second hand, so if anyone has verifiable information or clarifications, please post them.

That's what I was thinking. A lot of people here gave them at least enough benefit of the doubt to say they'd be on the air through the November elections.
This looks like a total flop one week out of the gate.

Apparently due to unresolved contractual disputes Apparently the stations were assured that AirHeadAmerica would bring in "at least" 10 to 15 listeners per day. They didn't reach the target. :^)

In most markets, NYC, for example, Air America seized stations that had been pillars of the black community. The neocommunists, including dems, have always hated people of color and have simply used them. These people of color obey the neocommunists and, like a whipped dog, lick their hands. I do hope Air America hasn't given in to these folks and continues to disregrad their interests and concerns just as Grand Exaulyed Kleagle Byrd has ordered them to. Never fear, Air America will pull some dirty trick and get these stations back. I believe the CPUSA still has major clout with certain unions and the approach may go that way.
