April 10, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - Condoleezza Rice's testimony to the 9/11 commission gave a boost to President Bush and helped convince Americans that his administration did all that could be expected to prevent the terrorist attacks, a new CNN poll shows. The poll - taken Thursday after blanket TV coverage of Rice's dramatic appearance - found that 48 percent of Americans now think Bush did all that could be expected while 40 percent disagree. That's a big shift from 10 days ago when 54 percent said Bush didn't do everything possible - that was at the peak of the furor over Richard Clarke's claim that the president was asleep at the switch.

Not worthy often, sadly.

These are the same "ficle boobs" whom Jefferson and Jackson and Lincoln placed their trust in and whom Madison and Washington and Hamilton feared.

I like that post. I would have never thought as an idealistic young man that one day it would be so crystal clear to me which of the two groups you mentioned would be more appealing to me and which group would appear more flawed. George Washington is the greatest American who ever lived!

"I sometimes wonder whether Americans are worthy of the sacrifice of lives our miltary occurs"

Way too many of us aren't. We're just lucky. If only we could separate from the lib losers - but they just follow and try to recreate the same hell they've left - witness Kalifornians taking over in Idaho, AZ etc. They really don't see the problems their socialist leanings cause until it's out of control. And then they don't think they brought it on themselves.

And for those who think this is too hard on Kalifornians, just recall the polls last year that showed them wanting lower taxes without cutting spending. And people think we aren't dealing with children.

Yes. Rice was outstanding -- which is why the major networks have essentially dropped the story -- except the August memo.

As to Hardball, I watched the repeat later that night and I have never seen a more biased, noxious political show on television. The 9-11 wives are nothing but Democratic hags, viciously asserting that Dr. Rice was derelict or worse in her duties. The other 9-11 families should be raising Hell.

Here we have one of the highest ranking women in our nation's history, who is also a person of color, and these vicious women single her out -- their own gender -- for their malicious slander.

I noticed the same thing. Her voice did sound shaky on the radio.

The only time I recall her stumbling was after 'gentle ben' asked her the name of the Aug 6 PDB and she started into an explanation. Ben stopped her and told her all he wanted was the name of the PDB.
She sounded perplexed and said he had asked her for its contents also.
The media only plays that portion, but if you go back and listen or read the transcript, he asked her the contents before he asked her the name.

I thought she hit it out of the ballpark.
BTW.. I listened also and was stunned to see that she did not use notes after her opening statement.
What a memory!!

One more thing..
Why is it that when I see Ben Viniste I think of a horse head??

On the radio her voice at first sounded nervous...

I agree. She did seem to have some pent-up emotion that spilled over a little bit in her voice when she first started speaking. But she settled down pretty quickly.

Fox has 4 times the amount of viewers than MSNBC, the home of sodium pentathol Chrissy Matthews.

After Chrissy's comments .. MSNBC is losing a few more viewers

Too bad they didn't also ask whether Clinton had done all he could.

They could even tell us that Clinton was even having a meeting the 9/11 Commission on the same day as Condi

Lol....I kinda think about the other end.

I thought he had asked her about the contents, but Wasn't certain, until now. Condi is one sharp cookie. I hope one day to see her in a debate with the Hildabeast.

The ordinary American is smart enough to figure out that knowing a threat exists doesn't mean you can do anything about it. We all know there are drunk drivers out on the roads, we don't blame the family that gets plowed by one because they should have done something about the threat.

We all know there are thieves and murderers out there, but we don't blame the person who gets killed because someone didn't do something to stop them.

The BLAME for 9-11 belongs to the terrorists and we are allowing ourselves to get sidetracked by looking backward when all eyes should be to the front.

"Her voice always sounds like that - fortunately her brain and heart work just fine."

They certainly do. The Republican Party are blessed to have her.

Actually, the Brits also have the same sense of fair play that causes them to support the underdog. They're not as generous as Americans, though.

I can't help thinking of the many black females who watched Condi being attacked by white libs, and wonder if they get any kind of message from it.

Rush has commented on this phenom several times .. saying that even when Clinton was going through impeachment, his approval number never seemed to slip - because the American people do not like to see "their president" disparaged in public (even if he's guilty) .. and it's the old "support for the underdog" thingy.

Remember, during impeachment the media was constantly saying that 75% of the American people did not want Clinton removed from office. However, just one year later, Rush reported that the very same 75% of the American people NOW believed Clinton should have been removed from office.

But .. the partisan media has never acknowledged the change in the public's opinion. This might account for the reason why they think they still know what the public is thinking - when in fact we have moved on and they don't have a clue.

Wouldn't that be lovely. Aside from the fact that Condi is a most admirable lady and would most likely be a very good president, the fact that Hillary the beast would be so green with envy she would probably spontaneously combust would make a Condi presidency even better.

Racists, every damn one of them.
