Favorite FReepers...
Me. | April 9, 2004 | Long Cut

Posted on 04/09/2004 2:37:38 PM PDT by Long Cut

We've all done it. You've just gotten home, logged on to FR, and are scrolling down the "Latest Posts" page, deciding which thread will get your attention this evening, when THAT SCREENNAME jumps out at you in a "to" or "from" position. You are powerless to resist; if THAT GUY's there, it's gonna be a good thread...

All of us have our own "favorites" among the many colorful souls who congregate at this fine website. They could be someone you disagree totally with, agree completely with, or somewhere in between. They might be a fount of useful information, links, and facts. Our favorite might be devastating at the art of debate; demolishing opponents in truly unique style, or he might be just plain nuttier than squirrel dung, but fun nonetheless.

Perhaps your favorite FReeper has a way with words; an excellent writer. Maybe they are someone highly experienced in a particular field, with knowledge that many do not posess. Maybe they're dumber than a bag of hammers.

Point is, no matter what the reason, our "favorite FReepers"' handle attached to a thread makes it all the more interesting to us; it guarantees a wild ride or sublime pleasure in the reading and learning. It may also guarantee an increase in blood pressure and indigestion, but one thing's for sure...that thread HE's on is gonna get a hit or two, and it won't be boring.

I've got more than a few of my own, and I'm sure all of you do as well. WHO'S YOURS?????????????????

I blush. 8~)

Yes, I've found unlimited comfort among the GRPL (and some days I've really needed it.) They are truly inspired by God.

And Mack remains the ONLY Arminian who rebuked those who cheered Woody's banning. He stood strong for unfettered dialogue and hardcore debate. So, whether he likes it or not, he's on my Christmas list.

My favorite Freepers are: Inyokern, Chicago Hebrew, Malakhi and MacDorcha.

As someone who like to be a part of the Religion forum the above freepers who I dis-agree with more than 99% of the time have taught me something "Jesus" said What reward is there in loving only the people that love you? the challenge in life is loving the people that dis-agree with you or do not love you". You have all taught me not to be a hypocritical Christian...Thank You....

Freepers who I have learned much from:
Presidio 9
drstevej
AAABEST
Jimmy Simon
Alouette
xzins
And the many other freepers on the Religion Forum.
Happy Easter and Happy Passover Everyone!
Let there be PEACE ON EARTH!

Thank you MeekOne for the ping...

My pleasure. ;^)

I see post 297 had a comment aimed at me deleted... maybe the author would like to PM me the comment and we'll discuss it off the boards... ; )

haha ! Not to worry. That was me. Can you believe it? Of ALL times for me to do a RARE double post, I do it on the LARGEST distribution ping since I've been on FR ? LOL !! Murphy's Law in action, haha !

I requested that second ping to be 'Nuked', hoping it wouldn't show up in folks 'My Comments' pages. But it did, as a blank comment from 'Unknown' Freeper.

Sorry about that ! ;^)

I've got 140,000 favorite FReepers. er, better make that 140,000 minus two. They know who they are. LOL. God bless 'em all. Jim Robinson

The wisdom od Solomon, as always Jim!

This thread should be divided up into two sections, FR posters and FR activists. Posters are highly visible, but many of our strident activists, while doing yeomans work behind the scenes, are not always prolific posters. The toil away in somewhat obscurity, performing their service and accomplishing their goals quietly and only rise above the din of Forum posting in after action reports.

My hat goes off to all FR activists and particularly the Chapter leaders who have taken on the awesome and sometimes thankless task of setting up and running chapters, organizing Freeps and advancing the ball for conservatives. Some are highly visible while others eschew the limelight and quietly go about their business making things happen. To those, you're efforts do not go unnoticed or unnappreciated. Thank you!

When I set up the Free Republic Network I gathered together what I believed to be the best and brightest activist oriented members of FR who would be able to work together as a team and make the FRN a reality. You may recognize some of the names but most of the members of our Board of Directors work hard and long, much of the time in obscurity, but their significant contributions have helped make FR what it is today. They deserve special recognition.

Here's to my BOD friends and allies in the foxhole, diotima, Nick Danger, Interesting Times, Minute Gal, The Shrew, abner, Doughtyone, Skeet, Seeking the Truth, Libertina, and past BOD members, MizAntifeminazi, Reagan Girl, Badjoe, Rightonline, and Ironjack. You're continued friendship and dedication keep me motivated, even during the darkest hours.

Uglybiker is a real gentleman, and another of my favoite FReepers.

Since I am a gentleman, I'd best refrain from sending you that warped Easter card I've been e-mailing around. ;-)
