I have images of you running around the playground calling people "poopy-pants".
I think I can survive you having visions about me.
To: JackRyanCIA
"Not yet, but you "liberal patriots" are determined to make it happen"
What are you babbling about Jack?
To: antiRepublicrat
Exactly right, Antirepublicrat. Santana shouldn't be on this list. Giving free concerts to our servicemen sure as heck seems patriotic to me. I don't think that Springsteen should be either.

If Kerry defends America, I will stand behind him. But what if he defends America in a way that he and many others see as appropriate and effective, yet you (and likely me too) disagree with? I reserve my right to criticism no matter who is president and what our war status is. Believing otherwise can come back to haunt you. Paraphrasing a classic quote, I believe Bush is right on this aspect of the war on terror, but I'll defend the right of others to criticize.
I have to agree on what some of these celebs have done. Going to Iraq to support our enemy and stating belief that UN power is above US sovereignty is very unpatriotic and unamerican. But some of these people have simply voiced an opinion critical of the President, as is their constitutional right.

we're not talking about the last president...but, you are free to boycott James Woods if you feel the need. It's your money.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA
Call someone a troll then whine that THEY'RE abusive. Mr Pot I'd like you to meet Mr Kettle.
You take this way too far. There's no way the Dixie Chicks proving that while the blonde might be dye they're just as stupid as the stereotype is going to get us nuked. Time to get things back in proportion Jack. These are celebrities, liberal arts majors and dropouts, nobody actually gives a damn what they think except the People Magazine demographic, and that group is too fat stupid and lazy to get out to the polls and vote. Clinton was the darling of the People set for his entire career and never got the positive number Bush gets, it's a crowd that doesn't matter. All these boycotts do is give the idiots free publicity, look at how much damage a bunch of people threatening to boycott Passion did to Mel Gibson's pocket book. Any publicity is good publicity, let the idiots fade into obscurity as is their eventual destiny and stop throwing insults around FR in some half assed crusade of silliness.

Uh, I don't boycott anyone because I think it's silly. I wasn't asking about boycotting. I was asking about your stance that people who speak out against the president are anti-American. I used James Woods as an example because you seem to be fixated on celebrities.

Speaking of Mel Gibson, why isn't he on the list? Didn't he recently say something doubtful about the war in Iraq and Bush's re-election?

Disagree all you want, running around here calling everybody that thinks black lists are bad trolls, French, and un-patriotic is 100% over the line, uncalled for, and embarassing to the rest of Free Republic.

That's right, according to the guidelines we've been given that makes him a vile-French-surrender-monkey who should be thuroughly boycotted.
Which of course is the problem with the black lists, especially in a nation with the 1st Ammendment. There's nothing wrong with saying the President might have gotten one wrong, informed discourse is the heart of our republic and this kind of silliness has no other goal than to discourage discourse. The answer to bad speech is good speech, not less speech. The best answer to liberal celebrity idiots is to show them to be idiots, let them talk themselves into a corner of stupidity.

It is amazing, though, how much stock people put in what celebs say and do...thus, the list.
they have had an impact on the rise of anti-Americanism around the world.

I'm having a hard time believing Brad Pitt was unstoned long enough to realized his opinion doesn't matter, they must have caught him first thing in the afternoon.
