Al Qaedas candidate, Socialist Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero won in Spain after they murdered 200 Spaniards. Their US candidate, Democrat John Forbes Kerry, may win here if there is another terrorist attack in the United States.
You dont believe Kerry is al Qaedas choice? America certainly does. In a national survey, Americans were asked, Who do you believe the terrorists want to win in November? 65% answered Kerry. Only 17% thought Bush would be their choice.
In a recent column, Ann Coulter said, Don't think of the Spanish election as a setback for freedom - think of it as a preview of life under President John Kerry!
Al Qaeda told the people of Spain in no uncertain terms how they were expected to vote. And the Spanish people complied. The Madrid bombings which killed 202 and injured 1600 was more than a subtle hint, but al Qaeda wanted the message to be very clear. So the al Qaeda "military commander" for Europe went on record admitting that his organization was responsible for the bombings, which he said were meant to punish Spain for supporting the war in Iraq.
(WAIT A MINUTE!! The Democrats have been screaming for the last twelve months that there is no al Qaeda Iraq connection. And now a top al Qaeda leader says very clearly that there is!)
Until the bombings last week, Spains Popular Party candidate Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar was expected to win re-election with a large majority. But Aznar was an outspoken opponent of terrorism who had sent troops to Iraq to support the War on Terrorism there. And al Qaeda decided to get rid of him.
Much has been made of the fact that the Madrid terrorism took place exactly two and one half years after 9-11, and that exactly 911 days had elapsed since then. But I think two other factors were involved in al Qaedas choice of the day to attack Spain. One was that the attack took place within a few days of the one-year anniversary of the day the Coalition attacked Saddam, al Qaeda, and terrorism in general in Iraq. The other was that it was just a few days before the national elections.
So, as columnist J.B. Williams puts it, al Qaeda has discovered a new weapon voters. The New York Times described the Spanish election "an exercise in healthy democracy." Really? A Spaniard who decided to switch his vote after the bombings was quoted in the Times article as saying, "Maybe the Socialists will get our troops out of Iraq and al-Qaeda will forget about Spain so we will be less frightened."
Just two days after his election, Socialist Zapatero appeared on al Jazeera television to announce that he would pull all of Spains troops out of Iraq unless control of the country was turned over to the Socialist United Nations. Al Jazeera is the Arab television network that praises terrorist actions and has aired messages from Osama bin Laden suspected of carrying coded messages to his followers to attack certain targets.
Heres a scary scenario: A few days before our elections in November al Qaeda attacks a major US target and kills thousands of innocent victims. Their spokesman announces that al Qaeda has joined Hillary, Al and the gang in endorsing John Forbes Kerry, because Kerry has vowed to get the US out of Iraq.
Id like to think that the citizens of the United States would have more guts than the Spaniards, and would spit in al Qaedas face by re-electing Bush in a landslide. But if the polls were close at that point No; its too frightening to think about. Kerry in the White House. US troops being brought home with the job half done. Apologies being sent to Osama bin Laden from the United States in hopes that he would leave us alone.
Kim Jong Il, Communist Dictator of North Korea
My research on Zapatero has solved at least one mystery. John Kerry, International Man of Mystery, has been telling anyone who would listen that foreign leaders have told him privately that they want him to be the next leader of the free world. But he refuses to name them! However, before his election Zapatero tipped his hand: "I want Kerry to win." It has also been widely reported that Kim Jong Il, the democratically elected Communist Dictator of North Korea, has been playing Kerrys speeches on Communist National Radio.
So we know the identities of at least two of Kerrys mysterious supporters: a Socialist appeaser of terrorists, and a barbaric Communist mass murderer. And its a fair bet that al Qaeda would prefer the man who has voted against funding for intelligence and defense over a strong leader like Bush. As we get closer to the election, other world leaders are likely to come out of the closet and publicly endorse Kerry. These may include such Heroes of the Revolution as Osama, Fidel Castro, and of course Jacques Chirac.
Seriously, there is no question that the terrorists won the Spanish election. So far our other Coalition partners have stood firm. But al Qaedas leaders are smart, and they will not ignore a strategy that has produced such huge gains as it did in Spain. As our election approaches, it is almost a certainty that terrorist attacks will take place in the US, or at least threatened. If they win the election here by intimidating the American people, the whole world will come under the control of radical Islam.
I will close with President Bushs words of warning about Islamic terrorists to Zapatero and the leaders of Europe: "No concession will appease their malice. No accommodation will satisfy their endless demands. No course of therapy will cure them of their hatred. There can be no separate peace with the terrorist enemy."
Every poll I've seen has indicated that George W. Bush would win a landslide if there is another 9/11-type attack in the U.S. before November. There's a simple reason for this: Kerry is a candidate who is popular among people who want fee medical care, employment protection, protection from telemarketers, protection from any difficulty in life, etc. In short, he is a candidate who is popular among delusional, utopian people.
George W. Bush, on the other hand, is popular among people who are grounded in reality. And a major terrorist attack is the kind of thing that moves large numbers of people from the "delusional" category to the "grounded in reality" category in a hurry.
In the immediate aftermath of 9/11, I predicted that the incident would spell the eventual demise of the Democratic Party in this country -- because even marginally intelligent people realize that having a guaranteed job and "free" health care doesn't mean a damn thing when a 737 comes hurtling through your office window.
